Owners were so nice, bed was great, linens and towels were wonderful. House is very old and only drawback (which is original to the house and should not be changed!) is the bar/latch style door handles. The Violet Room has its private bathroom across the hall landing, but if you get up in the night as we do, you do make a lot of noise rattling those handles! Walls are thin. But that didn't disturb us, since the other patrons on our visit were very quiet and considerate. If you are looking for the quietest room, I suspect it would be the one with the little porch (trillium?). Not sure its walls adjoin the others, and it is also in a separate part of the house. I have allergies, and did not find the old house to be a problem. Overall, it was a very nice stay!

We were only at the Inn at Neshobe River for one night, but it was lovely. Our hosts were very nice and accommodating. We were arriving to the area to move our son in to MIddlebury College. We will be returning to the Inn sometime over the next 4 years for sure. We had a room with a little porch that overlooked the yard, with it's gardens & outdoor area for the microbrewery guests. Beyond that was a golf course. Very peaceful.

A Great Spot for Peace

Publié le 12 juin 2017 sur Hotels
This is a great little place to stay. It is quaint, quiet and peaceful; and the owners are friendly and engaging. It is located on a little used road, right next to a micro-brewery; where guests are treated to brewery beer and local wines. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a peaceful getaway.

B&B next to a craft brewery, in the boonies

Publié le 10 oct. 2016 sur Hotels
Quaint B&B in an Inn associated with Foley craft brewery. The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was not very comfortable - not unusual for small B&Bs. Walls were pretty thin, at least on 2nd floor, so privacy is below average.

Nice but Tiny

Publié le 4 oct. 2016 sur Hotels
Visiting Middlebury College with the family. Surrounding town was fine, but just fine. This place was very pretty, and the owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. Breakfast each morning was very good. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Only problem was the bathroom to our room, which was super tiny. None of us could really maneuver around in the shower, it was so small. Bathroom didn't have a fan, either, so there was not a lot of privacy when using the toilet. We liked the place very much otherwise, but the bathroom was definitely a turn off.

A lovely Vermont Inn

Publié le 21 août 2016 sur Expedia
A beer tasting at the affiliated brewery, friendly, personable owners, a fine old inn and a fine breakfast in the morning - from beginning to end, it was a great experience. I easily and gladly recommend this Inn to fellow travellers.

Gracious hosts - Robert and Rhonda

Publié le 8 juin 2015 sur Expedia
Pour : Local charm. Great conversation with our BB hosts.
Contre : Because this house is over 100 years old, the door latches are authentic for the period, which means they are loud and a little awkward.
Emplacement : Wine tasting and nationally known local-brew beer on-premises is a draw for many, though it wasn't for us. Convenient southern Vt location.
We were an unconfirmed late arrival. They bent over backward to make us feel at home.. Breakfast was wonderful. The conversation was wonderful. They were helpful getting us oriented to the area. Our comfortable room was on second floor with narrow steep stairs, but Robert was very helpful getting our bags up, even though it was late at night. Beautiful area. Excellent price.
