Stay

There was no Internet the entire time we were there, which means there was no TV no phones no nothing. The house is in OK shape with lots of roaches. The view was amazing and it is right on the water, but the house is not worth 250 a night Especially when you have no Internet. The owner host was very nice.

A tree limb had fallen on one side of our place a week before this booking . I notified the guests an option to stay or I was going to refund his money . He chose to stay , as soon as he arrived he notified me that the internet wasn’t working. I e mailed him back and told him to turn the unit on and off to reset it . Our maid told us that the service was working the day before . At the time I was thinking possibly the limb had something to do with it . He never replied and upon cleaning we saw that the internet was working. Of course I immediately get a negative review as well as him posting that we have roaches . I pay a monthly fee to a bug service and I’ve never seen a living roach in the property . I kindly asked the guests if the roaches were alive or dead and yet am I to hear a reply . We are in the woods . As far as the internet service , if he had read my messages or replied , he could have had internet service .

Thief

THIEF! The property is beautiful, and private. The cabin was ok inside, fantastic outside My only real complaint is the host, he is a thief. I rented the original cabin (2 beds), later I added the second cabin (1 bed) . My in laws were supposed to stay in the 1 bed. for the 2 bed and a extra charge for the 1 bed. We were in the area for a family wedding. My sister in law ended unable to travel for medical reasons. We reached out to the owner to ask for a partial refund, not even a whole. He kept us emailing with him instead of VRBO during our stay, we thought he was who issues the refund. My husband and I rent a ton of VRBO, never had a need for a refund before, having said that we didn't realize our refund would come from VRBO while we were still there. Once you check out the owners get the funds. So by time I realized he was stalling and called VRBO who believes he should have returned the money and he is wrong. VRBO has all of our emails and read them and believes he was not being upfront with us. He will NOT answer VRBO when they call to rectify the situation. I have filled a complaint with my credit card against him. Host will most likely give me a bad review. I do not care. This host purposely in my belief played a game knowing once he got the money, VRBO couldn't give it back. I own vacation homes I rent in 2 states, I would never keep a guests money in this situation. VRBO agreed. I will get my money. We only wanted a refund on the 1 bedroom.

Generally when we rent a parcel , we don’t refund the money if the customer claims that they did not sleep in the beds . We have no way to determine this and we clean the linens regardless for the next customer. This particular customer text me on the way in asking if the cabin was accessible by car after which we had four hour downpour . I responded and never heard a response . I did a follow up call and text and never heard a response . I wasn’t sure if the folks made it or not . In the back of my mind I had concluded that this guests was immature and inconsiderate. I did hear from her wanting her money back for the area the bed supposedly wasn’t used . I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone’s property . Perhaps she should have used common sense, if she has any , and should have read the rental agreement. In my eleven years of renting I’ve never been subjected to this nor have an ever had a review such as this .

Very Peaceful

This is the second time staying at this property and we loved it just as much as the last time. This is a fairly rustic location and as long as it is approached as such it is very enjoyable and extremely peaceful. We will be back again in the future.

Perfect cabin on the river!

We rented the main cabin along with the optional guest cabin. It was great since we needed the extra space. Lots of parking in front and the place was clean and cute. The beds were comfortable and you can't beat the view right on the river. There's something to be said for the peace and tranquility out there, a great break from city life.

Cozy cabin

Our stay was great, cabin property was beautiful. Upgrades needed to outdoor grills and coffee pot and Tupperware would be useful. Location was close to the springs that we visited, Ginnie and Ichetucknee.
