Cosy Cottage in a Beautiful Location

Publié le 28 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe Old School was perfect for us. Fabulous accommodation located in the most beautiful setting surrounded by farmland, walks and amazing views of The Beacons.
Beautifully furnished and equipped, and spotlessly clean. A huge garden and a short walk down to the river.
The owners were accessible and attentive.
We cannot speak highly enough of this property and we plan to visit again when we can.

Great place to enjoy the Brecon Beacons

Magical if, like us, you enjoy being surrounded by nature - sparrows in the eaves, a pheasant on the drive, sheep being herded in the field near by, and a wonderful panorama of hills looking splendid in the glint of the sun or capped with mist.
The property is clean and the hosts were very attentive, responding very quickly to any queries. We spent many hours in the sitting room, a very relaxing space with a large picture window looking out over the countryside.
The garden also looks like a great space to relax although we didn't take advantage of it. The Old School
is a good place to escape for a bit of R&R and is well placed to appreciate the beauty of the Brecon Beacons.

Lovely home away from home in stunning Brecon Beacons setting

The owners Rob and Sian were very accessible by phone/text and helpful in answering all our questions. The place was exactly as described and perfect for a family get away in search of a peaceful location, but close to stunning walks. There is a stream literally a minute away down the end of the lane where the kids were happy playing on afternoons, and a big lawn area good for outdoor games. The immediate area is steeped in history - standing stones, excavated Roman forts - and there are beautiful views from the rooms of rolling pastures and distant hills. The house was roomy and furnishings were all of high quality; comfortable beds, very clean, and a kitchen full of every implement you might need. We will definitely be back!
