Lovely Cottage!

The cottage itself was a perfect size with plenty of room and the closets and storage areas were unbelievablly huge. The view is beyond beautiful and the pool made it all perfect! Loved our stay and we're looking forward to returning. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

A wonderful stay in Tortola
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMakere Cottage was a perfect place to stay. We stayed in Tortola for a month this time and we couldn’t have selected a more perfect home. The property overlooks Cane Garden Bay which is beautiful and its location offers easy access to Road Town, restaurants and beaches. It is very roomy with good size rooms and plenty of closet space. We loved the kitchen and outdoor barbecue and the pool, which you don’t always find in a rental, was perfect. There isn’t anything more we could have asked for.and I recommend it highly.

What a view!

We traveled around the whole island, visiting amazing cove after amazing cove. The people are very friendly and I was amazed at how clean the beaches were and not many stray animals, which always makes me sad on vacation. Thank you for an amazing cottage and vacation!!

Perfect getaway

Plenty of space, well-appointed kitchen, beautiful views, and our daily visitor Tola - the resident friendly and beautiful cat. We spent lazy days at the pool and hours sitting on the porch overlooking Cane Garden Bay. We loved opening all the double doors to allow for indoor/outdoor living. Took us a bit to master driving on the island and to the cottage itself, but once we did, we realized the location was perfect for us. Just a short drive down the hill to Cane Garden Bay and the west side of the island where we discovered beautiful beaches and an assortment of good restaurants. The cottage itself was very clean and we could not have asked for better accommodations. Highly recommend this fantastic rental.

Good Location Great View
Publié le 13 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayMakere Cottage is perched high above Cane Garden Bay, which hosts the best group of beach restaurants on the island. The House was clean and stylish and we spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the bay. We found everything we needed to prepare our evening meals and clean up afterwards. The pool was a nice addition and was fairly private while the permanent renters were away at work. The walk to the cottage from the drive was a bit precarious especially when carrying heavy luggage down the two flights of stairs but we are in our 60s and could handle it fairly well. The only complaint we had was that the bed was particularly rickety and hard. Other than that I would strongly recommend this beautiful cottage

Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your holiday overall but feel bad that you found the bed a little hard. We will be in residence ourselves in March and will be purchasing a brand new mattress (I will personally make sure that it will be very comfortable and not at all on the hard side!) and as for the bed frame, it is normally very sturdy as it was handcrafted from solid wood by a skilled carpenter, but we think that some of the bolts may have worked a little lose (!) so again we will make sure these are all tightened up.

Beautiful Views
Publié le 11 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe views from this property were absolutely stunning. I think the balcony overlooking cane bay was our favorite spot. Coffee on the balcony was so soothing for the soul. We would return in a heartbeat.

Unbelievable View
Publié le 12 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay at Makere Cottage in the BVI. The view was so beautiful and the cottage was quite spacious. We spent at least a little time each night on the porch looking down on the tranquil setting of Cane Garden Bay. Brewer's Bay was just a short drive down the opposite side of the ridge and it's an even more peaceful and idyllic beach. I'd highly recommend Makere Cottage for the location, comfort, amenities, and the view!

Amazing views!
Publié le 11 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at Makere cottage in early December 2023. The location is high on a hill above Cane Garden Bay with the most lovely views.
The cottage is simple to get to once you go the first time, but we arrived after dark. Thank goodness for the help from Chaniece at Jerry’s Car rental, who made arrangements to have a cab at the West End ferry to get us to the cottage where a car had been delivered for us.
The cottage is as shown and described in the listing. We were grateful that there was air conditioning available in the bedroom for
sleeping to cut some of the humidity, yet loved the open windows and doors to let in the sea breezes.
Tina, the owner was readily available for any questions and the local property manager quickly took care of getting us a replacement item needed at the cottage.
We love this end of Tortola - the beautiful beaches, views and dining options. Now we have a wonderful place to stay for the next time we return; the views from the covered deck are so amazing! I would highly recommend the Makere cottage.
