Unsafe Entry to Unit, Uncomfortable Bed, and Dog Hair
Publié le 7 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayI’ll start with the positive: it is an excellent ski in location. Walk about a total of 50 yards and you’re at the midpoint of a green run. Ski or board down to the small lift, take that up, and easily make your way over to Navajo lift which opens up that entire mountain.
Otherwise, our stay was disappointing. The queen beds were not plush so much as likely quite old. If 2 are sleeping on it, every movement creakily jostles the other person. It would be a worthy investment to get a better mattress so that everyone can sleep well.
There were no dog amenities (no bowls, no bed, etc.). There was an immense amount of white dog hair all over the floors and rugs that got on all of our clothes. (We have a black non-shedding Labradoodle.) A deep vacuuming would have solved that.
The listing states there’s outdoor patio space but it’s absolutely covered in snow. We wondered if it was safe to even be there with that much weight on the deck.
Worst of all is that the entry to the unit was dangerous. There was a slippery frozen 1-2 foot high and 2 foot wide patch of ice that made coming and going very scary. We tried to chip at it with the shovel to no avail. The modest amount of salt (1/8th of a bag at best) left for us did little. I messaged in and received a reply that they know about the issue but nothing was done. Carrying gear, it is absolutely unsafe. Two very fit adults and two strong kids struggled so I can’t imagine what anyone who was even slightly vulnerable would do.

I appreciate your feedback from your review.
As the Property Manager of this unit I would like to address the issues that occurred with you during your stay.
The mattresses are newer. Mattresses are very hard to accommodate to each individual’s wants for comfort.
We have had numerous reviews stating how comfortable they are.
The dog bowls are located in the pantry in the kitchen, I am sorry you missed them.
I am sure you are aware, with being a dog owner, if a bed is supplied dogs tend to mark them especially with being in an unfamiliar location. Most people that are traveling with their pets tend to bring items that make their pets comfortable.
We understand the ice build up in that 1 location that gets built up due to the building structure. I did take this very seriously, but
Unfortunately I could not find someone to get right there during your stay with the weather condition.
With this unit being in a ski resort area we are aware of the deck situation and take it extremely seriously.
There are snow slides this time of year. With the weather conditions we experience and being at least 9,600 elevation, we do not
have any control with mother nature and extreme caution is recommended for everyone.
The railing has been tightened numerous times and was also done once again after your stay. It does tend to get loose when people use force
using it.

Thanksgiving stay
Publié le 26 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayOverall it was a good visit, we had all the things we needed and the host provided extra supplies incase anything was forgotten, everything was fully stocked even had doggy bowls for food and water, the kids loved the fact that the condo had sleds and shovels to play in the snow with. The kitchen and bathroom was fully stocked and bedrooms had extra blankets and pillows, the atmosphere was soothing and comfortable and the living room is a good size for gatherings. The only downfall was the upstairs railway was very loose and the steps are short so we had a few dangerous falls, it could have been a little cleaner there was trash under the beds and needed better vacuuming, ither than that we loved it and definitely will be returning!

Needs some improvement
Publié le 11 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe pictures were a bit misleading. The balcony/patio area is definitely unsafe for use… I found food on some of the cookware which caused me to just eat out. Luckily there’s a few choices nearby. I found someone else hair (like a few) on the pillowcase and just my opinion, the sheets had a strong smell (deodorizer/frebreeze). I feel this along with the hair on the pillowcase, no bedding was washed. The bannister leading to the upstairs is loose and is in need of repair.

All sheets are clean. It may of been to strong because of the fabric softener that we use. I am sorry about that. I wish I would have known about the food on the cookware as I would have came up and washed personally. The banister and the deck have now been repaired. It is sometimes a challenge to get individual people to come up to Brian Head, and finish a job.

Spring Break 2023
Publié le 3 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time! Everything was super easy and the condo was appointed with everything we needed! There was SO MUCH snow and, as such, it was difficult to get up/down the driveway to the complex even with plowing and a suburban with chains! Just a heads up! Lindsay (on the property) was amazing at plowing for us when we needed some additional leverage but there was just so much snow! We will be back!
