Inaugural VT Leaf Tour

Posted Oct. 22, 2024 on HomeAway
My wife, adult daughter and my wife's parents planned this trip for several months for a leaf tour outside of our home state of PA. We never have visited VT. But have tons of friends that have and recommended a few spots. We wanted to find a spot that would accommodate our 80+ year old parents and their walking limitations and allow us the opportunity to comfortably stay in for the night should we need a break . The location provided a great home-base for our meandering around the state. The property was spacious enough for the 5 adults to hang out and watch TV after driving around. The double -bunk beds and the main bedroom's bed were really comfortable. Being near Killington, the property had great views of its own. The weather was perfect. The leaves on the nearby hills/mountains put on a great show. Loved how many towns and sights were within an hours drive of the property. Would definitely stay again. The communication with the property owner was easy and efficient.

Cozy Stay

Red Hawk is surrounded by vibrant fall foliage. Home was clean and cozy with a fireplace that added to the ambiance. Recommend buttermilk falls for an easy hike. Expect heavy traffic at Woodstock and Stowe at this time of the year!

Great stay for the family

We had a great stay at this property, it had everything we needed for our family of 5 for several weeks of temporary living. Comfortable and quiet space and close enough to stores, etc.

Returning guest

My family has stayed here before, and we will likely return again. Each side of the duplex has everything we need, is a great location for us (outside Killington and Woodstock, yet nearby), and is dog friendly. We like the rural area as well. We find it to be a good getaway for us.

Serenity in Bridgewater

Posted Oct. 9, 2023 on HomeAway
Peaceful and comfortable a short distance away from the craziness in Woodstock during October. We actually just spent an hour in Woodstock because everything was so crowded and spent our main day tracking down covered bridges on backroads and enjoying the changing colors in the area. Pizza place in Bridgewater was wonderful for take out😋

Great Place, worth the drive.

My family I rented this ski Chalet and we’re throughly impressed. It might not be in Killington but it’s worth the small added time on your drive to the ski fields. The Cabin is well appointed clean and very spacious. Bed’s are comfortable and bathrooms are big and accommodating. Would definitely rent there again. I hate to write a good review cuz there go my chances on renting it again. Thanks Nathan!

Near perfect find for our needs.

Posted Jan. 15, 2023 on HomeAway
The property was more up-to-date and spacious than it appeared in the ad's photos, and it was thoughtfully designed and delightfully functional and cozy. Almost all that we considered to be essentials were there: a well-equipped, open kitchen and living area; a gas fireplace; a utility area / mudroom for boots; and--critically--pet friendly. It was a great place to serve as a "base camp" for hiking, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing. The view of the sunrise over the mountain from the driveway was breathtaking. The neighbors were friendly, and we enjoyed meeting them when walking our dog. The only drawback was the WiFi's connection to the external internet required troubleshooting and ultimately a workaround. I also recommend shades for a few more of the windows (like the front door). My family would certainly stay here again, and would recommend it to someone with similar needs.

Nathan’s property was great! Comfy accommodations for our larger party and in a very central and convenient location. Nathan was a very responsive and helpful host. Great value as well!
