Publié le 2 août 2018 sur HomeAwayWe had a fantastic stay at the Old House. The cottage was cosy, clean, spacious and as described on the photos. We could feel at home. We were a family with 2 teenagers.
There was also a big garden full of beautiful flowers. The children even played badminton. We didn't use the barbecue despite great weather because we were too exhausted after busy visiting days !
The owners were very helpful : first they waited for us until 11.30 pm ( plane delayed...)
and then on the next day Manor gave us a map and instructions about what to visit and see. Thank you so much !
Nether Stowey is a nice small village ( with very convenient shops and pubs ) and a good location to discover North and West Somerset. ( Exmoor, Dunster, the north coast ,steam train, Taunton , Minehead, Wells, Cheddar... even Bath)
I definitely recommend the Old House if you want to spend relaxing holidays in a beautiful cottage.

Cozy flat in a lovely period property

The flat in the large attic space was lovely and in the heart of the very quaint village. Light and cozy at the same time and had everything we needed for our short but enjoyable break

Perfect holiday home

Despite the hot weather, there were enough windows to keep a gentle breeze flowing. All the equipment we needed was available. The garden is so beautiful and we were really grateful that we could host family there for an evening meal. Manor and Ann were perfect hosts.
The apartment is ideally located for trips out to a number of beaches and other attractions. We would highly recommended it and hope to be back some day.

Well recommended with welcoming hostss

Comfortable home in a beautiful location
Publié le 1 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe Housekeepers Flat was so comfortable and well equipped, it was home from home. Stairs a little challenging for the knees when carrying the luggage up, but no problem the rest of the time. The flat is very quaint with little nooks and crannies.
The garden was a real haven of beauty and tranquility.
Thanks to Manor and Ann for making our stay such a lovely break after being locked down at home..

Half term get away

He gave us lots of information about where to go to eat, to walks and visit. The accommodation was amazing, very quirky, homely and very big. It was set in beautiful grounds. We had the most amazing time and would love to visit again, for longer next time. Thank you so much. Sam, Dan and Alex

Spacious and interesting accommodation in a lovely village.

Everything we needed for our stay was provided, by the helpful hosts including reccomendations for eateries and walks. There was a very comfortable bed and excellent cooking facilities. The rooms are all large, light and airy, but were plenty warm enough without using the supplementary heating provided. Lots of stairs to get to the accommodation and steps within the property, make it unsuitable for people who are less agile. The location is excellent with Quantock walks close by and many places of interest within a short drive.
