Ducking delightful!
Publié le 19 avr. 2024 sur HotelsThe whole experience of staying at Duck Lodge was easy and delightful. Keith is the consumate host and is quite rightly very proud of the little slice of heaven he has created just outside of Brighton. We really enjoyed the feeling of being tucked away and having our own privacy. Using the hot tub was a treat and the lodge itself is super cute. We will be back :)

We highly recommend Duck Lodge. We had a relaxing time, a welcome rest from the South Downs Way. Very comfortable.

Amazing, what more can I say? Quite a bit actually. We were looking for somewhere just out of Brighton and this looked perfect. 15 mins away and with unanimous great reviews. Keith the owner was so helpful and friendly throughout. The room itself was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed.
We ate at the Plough round the corner which had nice food and breakfast was the best. Warm baguettes, croissants and pan au chocolates, cereal, yoghurt, and a massive fresh fruit platter. There was also lots more to choose from if you really were that greedy. Overall I really couldn't fault any part of the stay and we didn't even get to use the hot tub. Can't recommend highly enough and trust me, we're fussy! Coming back to stay again I'm the New Year.

Gorgeous little lodge
Publié le 23 oct. 2018 sur HotelsBrilliant place to stay, so much better than a generic hotel. Host was very friendly and really helpful. It was great to have an honesty bar available, and the continental style breakfast provided was amazing (and delivered to the cabin)
Cabin itself was really lovely and cosy, and the fairy lights in the garden added to the ambience. The TV had sky q which was unexpected but brilliant... the lodge was a good balance between rustic charm and mod cons that make life better.
Can’t comment on local area really as it was a business trip, but it was convenient for where I was wanting to go

Great overnight stay in a unique space
Publié le 23 oct. 2018 sur HotelsWe had a great overnight stay at Duck Lodge, which is a unique and well equipped space - you can tell that a great deal of attention has been paid to detail. Keith is a very congenial host and the breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay again if in the area. I can't really comment on the local area as we did not explore it but the surrounding countryside looked wonderful for walkers.

The best B&B I have ever stayed in.

Pour : Clean, comfortable and good value for money.
Contre : nothing
Emplacement : Easy access to main roads in the area and not far to Brighton.
Well, I was unable to fault it and it was a perfect stopover that I would have happily stayed longer at. The placed was spotless. All very comfortable and nothing to want for. The hot tub was a real bonus after a long drive. The host was comprehensive without being OTT. I will certainly stop here again if I am in the area overnight.

We are so happy to have found Duck Lodge outside Brighton proper. Located in a safe rural picturesque village, it is an easy train ride into Brighton and you won’t have to hassle with parking and crowds. Our host, Keith, keeps the property immaculately maintained and made sure we had anything and everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, brought to the door each morning. The bed was comfortable, not lumpy or saggy. Nearby bike rental available which Keith helped arrange . We loved our stay here and would highly recommend if you prefer to be away from the crowds and noise of Brighton. Lovely accommodations with great amenities.
