Hotel is in a great location for shopping, dining and seeing the city. The breakfast has a good choice but the coffee/tea mugs (well I don't think you can call them that, they are like shot glasses) let it down and the chicken sausages are very light in colour which lets it down. Staff are very helpful too

Relaxing with virws
Posted Oct. 3, 2024 on HotelsLovely room with excellent views of Brisbanes Southbank and the river. Even though not a big room but it had all the facilities you need for a relaxing stay. Walking distance to Brisbanes CBD and the new Star Casino, only negative is the parking situation as it is in the old Myer carpark.

Great central location between the river and the central train station. Very clean. They let us check in early. The cafe is also really nice though breakfast was a little pricy but the variety was good. Enjoyed staying here and would happily do it again. Good bang for your buck for the area!!

I've stayed at Ibis hotels many times around Asia, and this was my most disappointing experience. At check-in, the property manager offered to "upgrade" my room, but that turned into an accessible room. It was the absolute worst room to be in, triggering very unpleasant memories of being at the hospital bedside of a loved one. The accessible rooms are also incredibly inconvenient in many different ways, even though they are very spacious. I had that rectified later that day when I returned to the hotel after a day of activities in Brisbane, or this property would have scored an even lower rating. The property is centrally located in Brisbane, but it is really central to a whole lot of nothing. Brisbane itself, outside of being a college town, is really not worth going to. It is also passive aggressive towards tourists, including ripping out their free wifi in the South Bank neighborhood, and their buses not accepting card at all. Unless you're visiting a family member, there's absolutely no reason to go there.

Loved the location of this hotel and the helpfulness of the staff. What let me dosn was the inconsistent wifi signal and the fact the hotel had no maps of the city centre left
