Great hotel but I wish it still included the mini bar

We stayed on a Sunday night. Only one limited menu dining option at night. Bar not open till 5:30. The surrounding area dining options weren't great either unless you walked quite some way. There seemed to be limited staff. Our included breakfast was good (but not full breakfast). Could not order drinks or food at the pool. It was extremely hot (30) and pool faces west. It looked like there was an awning over the (limited) seats, but it was not open so it was too hot to sit up there. As we went to relax. sit by a pool, have a cocktail and stay in for dinner to avoid stress this was a very disappointing and not 5 star experience.

Nice but only when prices are lower

This was my fourth stay at the Ovolo. Unfortunately it was my least favourite. I picked the cheapest room type (Medium) this time around as the prices were expensive for what they offer. The guy at reception is always very friendly and has a chat each time I’ve seen him. However I was put in a room next to the lift, and there was no soundproofing in the walls, so I heard the lift going up and down all day and night. On top of that, the bed seemed smaller than a queen (what they advertised), and it was very firm. The King beds I’ve had in the other room types were much comfier. I’m also puzzled why the parking is so expensive - over $100. Plus they no longer provide the complimentary mini bar, so it now doesn’t make sense why they’re so expensive.
