Disappointing

I was lead to believe (from hotels.com presentation) I had a cabin with a private hot tub, and would therefore expect an en-suite. I had a double room with shared facilities, very poor accessible shower. Room was clean and fine for my needs. I didn’t read the fine print so had difficulty in gaining entry, but after numerous phone calls (answer phone messages) and a prolonged email chat, access was afforded. Nice location - albeit remote, but Hotels.com description/information not clear or accurate.

Log cabin

Our lodge was amazing there was plenty of room for 4 adults and the lodge can accommodate 6 although only 4 people can sit at the dining table inside. The hot tub was ready for use when we arrived and self check in was easy. Amanda who came to check the hot tub was very friendly and helpful. Please note the lodge has underfloor heating so the wall heaters aren’t required and the hot water seems to be regulated from the thermostat in the kitchen. There’s plenty of crockery, glasses etc and a few toiletries in the bathroom ( which is quite small but is clean with a good shower). The beds were comfy and that includes the 2 sofa beds. Would definitely stay again. It also has a great play area for children to the front of the cabin but it does lead into the car park.

No host in attendance. Muddy driveway at entrance. Difficult to control the thermostat for heating. Unable to adjust hot and cold water on shower. Snacks in the room was not fresh, they had no sell by dates. It is fine for anyone just looking for a sleep over.

Can’t give low enough review. Messaged me saying they was fully booked after I had booked, won’t refund me after I had already drove up from South Wales and didn’t seem too bothered about the situation. Messaged me next day saying it was an automated message even though they replied twice
