Great place to stay

Great Stay

Family Vacation??? So bad we left early.
Publié le 20 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayAfter the initial hiccup of an unclean place upon arrival, got fixed. Along with the purchase of a small area rug and a few pairs of sheets. thanks I guess. The overall condition of the place is very rundown. Nothing there screams vacation. The upstairs smells like a puppy mill, and the lower level smells like mold and fuel oil covered up by dollar store air, fresheners you know the ones! The rugs, sofa's, bedding and pillows were completely beat, stained and disgusting. When brought up to owner he became loud and unprofessional, to be fair we did get compensated for one day the day we were put out twice for the cleaners to come. We ended up, leaving 3 days early. If you’re thinking of staying here don't until Tom completely revamps the place to be a true vacation home. Hope this helps with your decision.

This family asked if the could come early so I extended them to come 2 hours early however they came 24 hours early on Aug 27th and the reservation started on Aug 28th. I thought they would be coming on Aug 28th since did not pay us to come for Aug 27th. Unfortunately another family left on Aug 27th and the cleaner came on Aug 28th. The family could have found lodging elsewear since the were legally tresspassing since I could not clean the place because I had no cleaners available on a SUNDAY. The cleaners came on Monday the 28th but now Stephanie and Mark wanted compensation and they even stay in the house that was unclean thats insane. They then took lots of pictures the threathen me will bad review if I dont meet their demands for a refund. . VRBO will not remove this bad review even thought this family arrived without premission a day earlier. They extorted money from me and still gave a bad review. VRBO policy guidelines is not in their policy protect an owner from bad review if people come into an uncleaned house because it was the wrong day and I had not idea coming early.
I even showed VRBO my text history with them of being treathen with extortion with a bad review unless you pay them . VRBO they don't care that many good owner will be hit with unfair reviews. I am a Premier Host dating back to 2004 and still VRBO dismissed us since on have 2 way to dismess a bad review #1 is extortion and #2 is personal attacks in the review.
Great job coming in a uncleaned home unexpectantly without even paying for that night. We even send them money !!!

Pleasant weekend
Publié le 20 août 2023 sur HomeAwayProperty was clean, comfortable and enjoyable for our family who was staying from out of town. The property is secluded and private which was a plus. Home is rustic with a large yard for activities and we loved using the fire pit. Would recommend!
