Exactly what we needed!
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I have been selecting quiet mountain region destinations the last few years preparing for retirement. Going up and down the Shenandoah to the Smokies. This home was perfect for us.
Just enough, close to downtown and relaxing. The history of the home was wonderful and Lottie was a pleasure to communicate with. We certainly enjoyed our little get away. Watching the birds, hearing the owls at night and watching everyone fly fish was a treat. Definitely recommend this home. We truly enjoyed it.

We have come to Bristol for years for the N.H.R.A. and started at the cheap hotels with horrible results up to the top suites hotels with 5-star ratings. The Cottage by the river was by far the most enjoyable stay we ever experienced!! The cottage was beautiful and the view world class!! The Owner's and Neighbours are the best, polite and friendly!! The only thing we would change is a paver sidewalk through the long walk through the grass from the parking area. We checked in during the rain and wet shoes and grass clippings were everywhere. A small price to be paid for the best vacation we ever experienced!!

Wonderful Experience

Home was Close to my favorite fishing spots. The house was well stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean and neat. My wife and I loved how the house was decorated with pictures and items from the area. We will definitely be returning for another stay in the future. Would highly recommended it.

Fishing Trip

The house is in close proximity to both Big Springs and the weir, making it the perfect place to stay if you are bringing your own boat. The house was clean and the host was very nice. It had everything we needed and having a grill was great for cooking some fish we kept. Would love to visit and stay again.
