The De Vere was an absolutely lovely old builfing .
The gardens and grounds were just stunning .
Loved that theyd kept the gardens in keeping with the house .
Staff were friendly but professional .
We would definitely stay again and reccomend.
Our room was suite spacious with a comfy bed .I would just say that the bathroom really needed updating as very old fashioned ,but im guessing the expence is a large factor .
Other than that we were very impressed with everything else .

Honeymoon get away
Publié le 1 août 2024 sur HotelsNice spacious room with a comfortable bed. Rooms attended to daily, beds made, new towels and coffee/tea topped up. Great out door dining and friendly staff with tasty food.

Very nice overnight stay
Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HotelsMy stay was very nice. The first room I was allocated had a badly stained carpet and an ants nest in the bathroom. When this was advised to the staff I was immediately offered an equivalent alternative which was in much better condition but seemed smaller in size. It was a lovely hot evening so it was enjoyable to sit out on the small patio. Our dog enjoyed being out on the patio as well. There was no air conditioning in the room but the hotel atmosphere felt very safe and suitable for the window to be left open overnight. The staff throughout our stay were very friendly, polite and helpful and the dinner in the bistro was just what we wanted. It was a shame the spa closes at 20:00hrs, but I would definitely stay here again.

Not a SPA hotel
Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HotelsBeautiful hotel and very impressive however it is listed as a Spa hotel. We arrived on Saturday and was told we better quickly go and book a slot to have a swim in the pool. We also had no spa robes or slippers in the room and were told we had to buy these for £5 each. The pool was more like a large bath. Very small and with children using it was very noisy and no space to go into the hot tub which again was tiny, Very disappointing as we wanted to use the spa the following day but felt we did not want to as it was so disappointing. With the land around the venue they should build a purpose built SPA as it certainly lacks this element of the property. Sorry De Vere Tortworth Court it wasnt a good experience.

The hotel itself is stunning and full of character. The rooms however appear very dated and could do with as much attention as the hotel itself.. the grounds are amazing and so well kept.
The food was ok but a little over priced for what it was. The spa is nice and the team are good
The spa rooms again could do with a bit of a revamp
