Come rest, relax & renew, then discover our great Downtown. Our loft is smartly appointed - just bring a change of clothes and explore our Twin Cites! Private entrance. The loft entrance is at the rear of the property. We have a dedicated parking lot, and the loft entrance is up back wooden steps.

We are available as needed. I live in adjacent loft and can be reached anytime through text. We also own the stores underneath - Cranberry Lane & The Southern Churn.

Our loft is located in the heart of Downtown. You are only steps away from the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, Craft Breweries, Blackbird Bakery, Public Library, restaurants, Paramount Theatre, Coffee Shops, Men’s and Women’s Specialty Clothing Stores, music venues, performance theaters, Cigar Shop, gift stores and most importantly, your loft is located over an ice cream, candy and homemade Fudgery Shop. You are only 10 minutes away from Bristol Motor Speedway, the Pinnacle mega shopping plaza, and SW Virginia Cultural Heritage Center. Our area boasts many outdoor adventures. We are listed as one of the top Fly-fishing destinations in the country. We are located close to the Appalachian Trail and many other hiking trails. Our Downtown is very walkable. The loft is located in the heart of Downtown Bristol. If you have your own vehicle, we have a dedicated parking space during your stay. There is also Uber/Lyft service. There are rental cars available at the Airport, and there is limited bus transportation Downtown.

Our loft is located on the 2nd floor - only 26 steps up to the Live Like Local Loft!

During the warmer weather, there are usually several live music events, so there is a potential for noise. However, there is a city ordinance that all music must end at 11 pm.

This building is over 100 years old, and we have beautifully restored it. You will find lots of charm with a modern flair! We have preserved the original brick walls in the loft. We have very high cleaning standards, but you may find naturally occurring brick dust occasionally. In the loft, you will find exposed beams in the ceiling and lots of character throughout the loft.

We have several fitness centers located close by that offer daily rates.

Home away from home but nicer :)
This rental had everything we wanted & more. The owners gave so much attention to detail that there wasn’t anything that I reached for that wasn’t there. The location couldn’t be better for a stay in downtown Bristol, allowing you to walk to tons of restaurants & small business shopping. An example of attention to detail: sound machine & earplugs for sleeping, a ceiling fan but also a box fan available for comfort. It possibly has the best stocked kitchen of any rental I’ve stayed in, the furniture is all in great shape & comfortable & the decor is very tastefully done, as well. We would, & already have, recommend this to anyone.

To our fellow travelers: Like us, you've stayed in every kind of lodging out there, and you've experienced a wide range of surprises and satisfaction levels. You've been delighted by the unexpected treats and luxury touches, and you've been disappointed by the unexpected bugs, dust or clutter. Entering the "Live Like a Local" lofts hosted by Karen and Monica in Bristol, expect plenty of the pleasant and have no dread of the disappointing. We stayed in Loft #3 for six nights, and I constantly marvelled at how clean it was and how much thoughtfulness went into the details of this charming, comfortable downtown getaway. From the coffee and tea supplies to the variety of snacks, from the ample supply of towels to the courtesy toiletries, from the warm, fluffy throws and comforters to the detailed TV streaming instructions, from the white noise machine and earplugs to the spacious closet, from the sunny outside deck to the private laundry facilities - you get the picture - these ladies have provided everything you need to truly settle into a relaxing time away. And the setting? Truly the heart of picturesque historical downtown Bristol, totally walkable to a variety of quaint, local shops, restaurants and breweries. Treat yourself and build some memories in this welcoming little haven.

I have stayed at Live like a local Loft three times now. I stayed in a different unit each time. The units are beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, and provide the guest with everything they need in the kitchen and bath. You feel as if you are in your own home. Karen Hester is very responsive to all messages and is ready to make your stay as pleasant as all three of my stays have been. I will stay here every time I visit Bristol in the future.

What a GREAT place!
The Live Like a Local Loft was a wonderful stay. The hosts thought of everything you might need to make this feel like a home away from home! Super clean, comfortable bed, luxury linens, games, DVD’s, CD’S, well-appointed kitchen, toiletries, and on an on! The other great thing about this property is its location in the heart of downtown Bristol with great shops and restaurants just a few steps away! We will definitely return! If you appreciate art, history, and quaint environs, I highly recommend this beautiful loft. You can sense the pride both TN and VA have in protecting the integrity of State St. shared by both states. The shops, the fooderies, the historical buildings are such a fun experience. Our loft was precious! We felt at home and loved the surroundings of vintage and modern collectibles decorating the place. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the modern conveniences well maintained. We highly recommend.

My husband and I had a fantastic time! The loft is gorgeous with brick walls, gorgeous ceiling and everything you could possibly want or need! Coolest stay in Bristol
This place is amazing! They thought through every detail. It was comfortable, spacious, trendy - a great place to hang out day or night. The kitchen was fully equipped. Being right on State Street, we parked once and never had to drive again during our stay - in easy walking distance to restaurants, dessert, and shops. I posted a question on the app after we arrived, and she responded immediately. We hope to return and stay even longer next time. Thank you for being such a wonderful hostess!

Great place to stay. Everything you need is in this loft. It is cute, comfortable and truly has everything. Bed was comfy. Kitchen had every appliance. The place was clean.
