The rooms look like nothing like the pictures. Also I still haven’t received my deposit back. I only stayed a few hours out of the two nights I had booked

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Bristol while attending a NASCAR event. I understand that area hotels will raise their rates when events are in town - and beggars can’t be choosers - but I thought the markup here was insane. I’ve paid less to stay in NYC!
The location is easy to find off Rt. 81. Plenty of fast food options, although nothing except McDonalds is open late on a Friday night.
The bed, toilet, and sink were very clean. AC was strong. The flooring and other furniture were heavily worn and beaten up. Stains on the walls in the bathroom showed a lack of thorough cleaning. Chose to skip a shower til I got home as the showerhead was heavily calcified and the tub was not very clean.
I’d say the most positive reviews for this hotel have to be grading on a curve. It wa acceptable for my father and I for one night. Could not imagine my wife or kids being happy to be there.

Red Roof Inns are budget motels. Being in Bristol for a NASCAR playoff race meant this was about all that was in our budget & we would not normally pay so much to stay at this type of motel. With that in mind, we had a good stay. The room was clean & well kept. Much better than some higher-rated places we stayed at in Charlotte. The front desk staff was very friendly. Our bed was comfortable & the a/c worked great. There’s a small lobby for check-in and we had a small refrigerator.

no refrigerator room, no housekeeping over 6 days, toilet doesn't flush properly, shower takes too long to get warm, TV remote not functioning properly. And they're branding this "Plus"?

Key cards only work for 1 day, come back to your room late at night and would have to find someone to get another door card. Poor lighting in room and hardly no light in bathroom.

Got the room because it was close to Bristol night race. It was nice for the one night stay.
