I think it would be helpful to have rugs down in both the bedroom & hallway to bathroom as there are rough uneven stone flags which are uncomfortable on bare feet. There is obviously a problem with humidity in the property which they are trying to tackle but it left the bedding feeling damp.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review which I hope together with this response will be helpful for guests considering the property. We are not sure of the exact date the cellars were constructed but think it may have been in the fourteenth century. The floor comprises entirely of flagstones which as a natural material “breathes” and so it would be inappropriate to carpet the floor. We do provide washable slippers, usually we leave these on the bed with a further supply, including different sizes on the shelves in the bedroom and under the basin in the shower room. We also supply cotton mats which guest can use wherever they want, again these are on the shelves in the bedroom.In terms of Humidity, there is a sign on the back of the shower room door requesting that the door is kept closed when the shower is being used. This is so the extractor fan in the shower room can remove the steam and thus avoid any issues with humidity, which I assume is what this review refers to. Priory cellars is a unique property which attracts guests from all over the world for its original features. We do have a second apartment in the building called the Orangery, which dates from 1830 , so much more modern and fully carpeted with vinyl in the kitchen and shower room. We hope the above will help guests chose the most appropriate accommodation.

What a wonderful quirky abode and situated amongst a wonderful property!
Lovely garden to enjoy our gin too!
Well stocked kitchen but if you didn’t wish to cook a great pub is 50yds away!
Had a lovely welcome from the hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
Bonus…property is just outside the congestion charge so used our bikes for getting around..easy!
Will be a definite go to if we are up this way again 😊

The property was nice and warm, had everything you could need and in a great location. I will definitely be returning.

A fantastic find close to the beautiful area of Clifton. All essential amenities provided plus a bonus starter pack, excellent information booklet and spotlessly clean. Great communication and personal meet and greet from owner Nick. Will definitely stay again!
