Charming rustic bungalow surrounded by a wooded ravine at Lake Sam Rayburn. The area is surrounded by Angelina National Forest. This home has open concept living, dining, and kitchen with 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Sleeps 6. The first bedroom has a queen bed and a full bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
There is a Smart TV in the living room and DVDs with DVD player. Also there are Smart TVs in both bedrooms. Free WiFi provided. There are board games and cards. There is a large deck overlooking a wooded ravine for secluded relaxation. Just off the deck there is a fish cleaning station. In the front there is a fit pit and a park style charcoal grill. No lake view, however, it is only 100 yards to the edge of a cove. Boat launches are just a few minutes away. Jackson Hill Marina and Park is 5 miles away and Cassels-Boykin is less than 10 miles away. Hanks Creek Park is a great place for a family day trip, it's about 25 minutes away. Bring along a picnic and enjoy the day at the beach swimming area, playground, volleyball, and boat launch area. Powell Park Marina is about 30 minutes away.
Great place to disconnect, relax, and recharge your battery!

Good Locatuon for THSBA Tournament
We stayed here two weekends in a row for THSBA prefishing and tournament weekend. House was perfect for our capitan and anglers. Road getting to the property isnt the best but is doable with a truck and boat trailer. Host was responsive and we were able to extend our stay an extra day with no issues. Would definitely stay here again for future tournaments on Sam Rayburn.

THSBA Tournament Stay
Perfect for our capitan and anglers to stay for the weekend to prefish. Had boat parking and an electrical plug outside. Rooms were tidy and spacious, kitchen was equipped with anything needed to cook. Road getting to the house wasnt the best but it is doable with a truck and boat trailer.

Quaint Cabin
This was a very charming, older rustic cabin tucked away in the woods. The host saw that we had all of the necessities although we never met or spoke with the host. We really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and quiet. It was also super neat to see all of the deer roaming the area.

Nice cabin in a very quiet area
A nice cabin in a very quiet area locate near several boat ramps including Jackson Hill Marina and San Augustine Boat Rap. Cabin has large amount of cooking material and utilities. The Host is very helpful with any questions or problems you may have. We have stayed here 3 times and would definitely stay again.

Quiet and perfect
The cabin was very clean. Had everything and anything we needed. It was my friend and I on a fishing trip. We had plenty of room. The kitchen had everything you have had home. It was very comfortable. Looked like they had 100 DVD movies to watch if we wanted. We will definitely stay again!

Perfect little home.
Perfect for a quick get away from the norm. Quiet, neighbors were basically inexistent. There were other homes around, but we only saw 1 or two other people the entire weekend. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Get away weekend
Great! Wife and I went to Sam Rayburn for a relaxing weekend of fishing, and we found it! Quiet and peaceful, after a day on the lake. The cabin was clean and prepare for us. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it for anyone looking for a get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you want a location close to a great launch ramp, this is it! From leaving the cabin to launching on the water, approximately 10 minutes at the most.

Cabin in the woods near lake.
The house itself was in decent shape and mostly clean and ready for occupancy but, whoever is taking care of the grounds outside of the house, yard, etc. is failing and can do a much better job. There were fire ants all around the porch and walking paths. I seen much of the back deck was overgrown with vines and the deck furniture had spiders and spiderwebs on most of them. The grass was somewhat cut but hedges, flower garden again and around house and around outside fire pit sitting area need immediate attention badly. All was badly overgrown. The groundskeeper for this property is failing badly and really spoils the view and experience for this beautiful cabin and property.

Very nice cabin
Located in a very quiet area, the cabin was very clean, very comfortable and well organized. The kitchen had all the pots, dishes, silverware and utensils you will need. It was also stocked with plenty of spices. For those with a boat, the cabin is not far from Jackson Hill boat ramp. We could not be happier with our stay there and will definitely consider staying there again.

Excellent getaway
We had a great relaxing time. This place has practically everything you would need. Just bring your clothes and food. The beds are super comfy and we loved hanging out on the back deck that is fenced in so our dog couldn't escape. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pit area. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away. We look forward to returning in the near future.

We had a great stay. Check in process was easy, directions were on point especially because we arrived just after the sun set. Well equipped kitchen, bedding and towels. Loved the quiet evenings. Also, the Dairy Mart is a must!!

Cabin is romote and quite
Cabin was not cleaned as well as it could have been. Have pictures will share if needed. Coffee pot dirty, had to buy one. Roaches were visable as well. Back deck was not cleaned, would have loved to set on the deck but we did not bring a blower to clean with. Over all this would have been a great place with a little care and cleaning. I reached out to the Hostess and she offered to refund but we had no where else to go to in the short amount of time when we arrived.

Great cabin
We had a great time. Amy was very friendly, she answered our questions and even provided a list of places to visit in the area. The cabin was well stocked with utensils and pans, very clean and organized. The books and DVD collection were a plus. We will definitely be back
