Secluded Perfection

Family vacation
Publié le 8 août 2024 sur HomeAwayPerfect secluded quiet getaway. Kids could play in the screened in area while meals were being prepared. Or just be loud and play outside whenever we were at the cabin. Loved the short drive to Powell park for when I didn’t feel like cooking. Overall, we had a great time!

Disappointed
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWhen we arrived at check in time we had no power due to storms that had knocked the power out and without electricity there was little to no water pressure so we stayed the one night without power hoping it would come back on the next day but that didn’t happen so we came home a day early. When I talked to the one of the owners he said they could maybe give us a partial refund and they gave me back $125. But we payed over $600 for the weekend so we should have at least received half to be fair since we didn’t use any power at all and I understand it’s nobody’s fault about the power but we did pay alot of money to sit in the dark with no water.

Darrin I understand your frustration with the storm knocking out the power and if you guys had decided not to stay I could have refunded the $398 associated with the rent as well as your cleaning fee.
The power was restored the following morning but you guys had already left and the cabin had to be cleaned up so unfortunately the cleaning fees, taxes and VRBO’s fees aren’t refundable in this type of situation. Again, I do apologize for the timing and inconvenience of the crazy weather this year as it has created some challenges for everyone.

Cabin Stay
Publié le 29 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin is hard to find and has no reception for most in the area. Road to cabin is very rough on a vehicle. Very common to lose power in a storm. Very far from any gas station or food

David we appreciate your feedback but you turn into the subdivision and travel 300 yds on the main road to the entrance gate with a big sign at the entrance that we provide pics and detailed directions for in your welcome email ???? There’s a marina with a restaurant, gas and a grocery store less than 1 mile from the subdivision ?? We also don’t have control over storms, cell service or the power grid and even issued a partial refund because you checked out a few hours early due to the loss of power. So, not sure what else we can do but two stars … really ?? Happy trails on your next adventure.
