This is lovely property in a very special location surrounded by trees and wildlife with a gorgeous garden. In the evening there is a bar in the garden which is delightful.
Dogs seemed most welcome and we will be back to take our dog there for sure.....

New Forest stay

Great staff but not a hotel for me to return to.
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HotelsGreat location in theory but there is a road that is noisy that runs along the front of the hotel. The windows are old sash windows. So not much sleep to be had. All the classic rooms are at the front, so I was informed when I checked in. The room I had was quite dowdy and in need of attention, so I was a little dissapointed given the charge of the room. The staff however were amazing. I did not like that we had to give a time slot for breakfast on arrival. I have not been to any hotel of that price and ever been asked to do that. I was informed that it was so the kitchen could cope. I would suggest more staff are needed if this is the case. This hotel certainly wasn't for me.

Dated and worn out, overpriced
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HotelsWe didn’t stay as our room was so ugly for a deluxe double and nothing like any of the photos. We left and booked an alternative hotel not far away that was much better. We took a financial hit but it was worth it for a memorable anniversary stay

We've been here on numerous occasions and have always had a good stay. The only slight issue is that there is no aircon and if it had been any warmer the nights would have been a bit uncomfortable. On the plus side the food is always excellent.
