The Big Lost Cabin at Hochatown

Yellow pine walls, blue stain pine ceilings, beautiful circle-sawn oak floors, and a rock fireplace add to its aura. A popular attraction is the many decks and tiered deck system which are built on the bluff overlooking the creek. The Gazebo with privacy hot tub also overlooks the creek. The cabin’s covered entrance is emboldened with large timber beams, the living areas are spacious, and the bedrooms large. The bedroom furniture and tables are handmade and beautifully crafted from native Eastern Cedar logs. The kitchen, with a two-level bar has all the cookware, utensils, dinnerware, and appliances of a typical home. A Foosball Table is provided for your enjoyment.

Wonderful Forest Retreat
Our family had a wonderful trip to the Big Lost Cabin. We've been to Hochatown twice before, but this was the first time our cabin was located where you couldn't see any of the other cabins. It was the perfect relaxation trip that our family needed. We enjoyed it all - from enjoying the lower deck in the mornings that overlooked the flowing stream with our morning coffee to using the hot tub for relaxation after a busy day. FYI there is no longer a foosball table as it has been replaced with an arcade game. Our kids enjoyed getting to play it just the same.

Great stay
We loved this cabin. It felt secluded but was still pretty close to everything. The hot tub was great and overlooked the creek. We had actually planned a Spring Break trip here in March but had an awful stomach virus that caused us to have to move our trip to June. When I called, they were very accommodating and didn’t even charge us to change the booking. We’ve stayed in a few different places in Broken Bow but this one was our favorite by far.

We had a blast, the cabin was amazing, and in an awesome location, beautiful scenery. Only complaint, the hot tub is just a bit to small!! one of the dials was broken, couldnt adjust the jets. But we made it work for one evening.

4 Nights Extended Weekend Getaway
The cabin was perfectly tucked away from others giving the sense of seclusion even though others were less than a quarter mile away. It was perfect for the four of us. The jacuzzi and fire pit out front was the cherry on top.

Peaceful and Beautiful
Even though the roads are less than desirable as far as up and down go, the cabin was beautiful and listening to the creek and seeing deer in the morning closeup, was very relaxing and you felt as if you were in another world. We will definitely be renting again but probably one with NO upstairs as we both have knee issues.

Nice
Clean, easy process. Minimal amenities compared to other cabins stayed in in that area. Fireplace didn’t work. Terrible WiFi connection. A few broken things such as toilet handle Etc. Worked for what we needed it for.
