We had deaths (3, then 4) in our family in Hazlehurst, MS due to an explosion and deaths of close family. We were advised to seek accommodations in Brookhaven rather than in Hazlehurst due to security/safety issues. I reserved for 4 nights stay; we left after 3<<< Due to the immediacies of the events, we sought the cheaper accommodations. The stay did provide comfortable bedding, but the "free breakfast" consisted of coffee and packaged muffins. Really? That's it? Had to request an additional blanket because my daughter/room mate preferred to sleep cooler than myself. The office questioned my need for the blanket--saying there was heating available in the room--I finally got one. (hummm) There were "parts" of a coffee maker IN the room, but NO coffee pot nor coffee grains, sugar, or creamer. I had to request fresh towels and bathing linens on our stay there....event upon which we decided to change to another motel.

The room was very clean and spacious. However, being in the end unit, parking was confined as you had a metal railing to keep you on that level of pavement.

Jamie at the front desk was very friendly and really went above and beyond to help us with a reservation change and make us feel welcome. The room was nice and clean when we checked in. I highly recommend this motel for a quick place to lay your head!

Room was dirty, smelled like marijuana, bed frame popped every time you sit or lay down, NO hot water, mysterious stains on chair. The lady that checked me in was amazing. That was the only good thing.
