How cool it was to stay in the National Park right across from the visitors center. Deer walking around while i was drinking my morning coffee outside in the provided chairs. Such a neat little cabin feel in the room with a split door . So many neat things about this stay that i really enjoyed.
Great time at the lodge. It doesn't get any closer to the park than being a 2 minute walk to the Visitor's Center. Toilet could use an update but other than that, rooms have everything your need and are roomy. Would Definitely stay there again if visiting the park!
The room is little old and don’t have much storage and place to hang clothes or towels. There were some constructions near by that may cause some noise.
We visited Mammoth Cave and it was incredibly convenient to stay at the Lodge. The rooms are motel style not hotel style and the bathrooms are dated. But the rooms were very clean, the area is beautiful and the location is ideas for a visit to the caves.
decent cabin, staff were really friendly and communicative. The parking was easy, though I wish it had been a bit easier to navigate in and out of the area I was staying in. Quite far from civilization so, if like me, you have food restrictions, make sure to buy food at a grocery store before coming here. Do not expect any kind of cooking facilities, which is noted on the website, but was not available for my room.
Peaceful, away from it all. Short walk to park office, restaurants, gift shop and entrance to the cave. Room was comfy with a microwave, refrigerator and a TV. Many National Park lodgings do not provide TV. Only complaint and reason for giving 4 stars was the shower. The shower had a hand-held shower head with no to clamp to hang it to provide a normal shower. In addition, the shower floor edge molding was non existent causing the spray to go all over the bathroom floor. The shower curtain did little to help the situation. The only floor drain was inside the shower and did not stop the flow into the bathroom area. Bad design for the shower, otherwise very pleasant accommodation.

Not sure where to begin...the only good thing about our stay is that we were located inside Mammoth Cave National Park. Our room was not located in "The Lodge" but in a motel type setting called "Sunset Terrace". Nowhere on our reservation was this indicated, and the pictures on the website are NOT accurate. Our room was very old and dated. It had a musty odor, and very limited, old furniture. There was not a single chair in the room, so we had to eat our breakfast standing up, or sitting on our beds. We ran out of hot water after 2 quick showers, and had to kill a very large spider that was crawing on the floor, that probably entered our room via the large gaps between the door and door frame. I would not recommend.
You get what you pay for really. It’s a cabin, spacious, but very old and doesn’t have a TV. The AC is extremely loud and the shower is so old that I was made for people shorter that 160 cm. Bring a flashlight as you will walk in the dark getting there.
It’s located in the park, and close to the caves. The restaurant is decent and affordable. So your choice is really about staying in Cave City and drive here, or vice versa.
