4 day stay at Coral Beach
Posted Nov. 26, 2018 on HotelsThe status and ownership of the hotel had changed between booking and stay, from a la carte to all inclusive. If we had known this (not informed by hotels.com or the hotel) we would not have stayed. A number of issues with the room took too long to be sorted. Location was ok and staff very friendly and helpful. Initially given inferior room to the one booked, before changing to correct type. Unfortunately this felt like one of the ‘spare’ rooms at the end of the property and was not set up for 3 people as requested and had a number of problems. This booking was made in April yet we were forced to feel like we had been squeezed in at the last minute. We think the hotel is probably ok for people who choose to do all inclusive and for most rooms at most times and we were unfortunate under the prevailing circumstances. However, that does not mean we were able to have the luxury relaxing holiday we had hoped for. Too much time was spent wondering and worrying about the problems we were encountering.

When I got to the hotel the room was dirty so I asked to be moved and after 15 mins they moved me to a room that again was not set up no towels and no WiFi no tv in English and there was no hot water only warm and the door lock keep locking me out the room every day they had to reset my keys after 5 days they change the batteries in the door after I got one of the manager to the room to look at how I was starting in the hotel after he left he gave me a fridge of drinks to say sorry
The hotel has going backwards from feb 2018
We now eat off side plates and the food is only warm and never comes on time and when it run out they no one to refill on Sunday they was no roast I waited 1 hr and it never come out of the kitchen
This hotel was a 5* now it’s a 4 1/2 now I think it’s a 3 at best

Pros: Great hotel with all the facilities you need & more than other Gambian hotels.
Superb location.
Really friendly staff.
Location: Senegambia strip, Serekunda, all the main attractions within a short taxi drive.
Our 5th year here .... & we cant wait to go back !

Good location, close to beach.
Posted Jan. 4, 2017 on ExpediaExcellent hotel location, lovely beach. Only complaint is food in hotel, menue average but they didnt have a lot of dishes available, so went hungry a few times, . Taxi's expensive to main strip to bars & resturants, which is annoying , as eating out is a must with food choices being poor in hotel. There is no free shuttle available, so taxi's are the only option

Very relaxing hotel and nice spa
