Rarely do hotels exceed my expectations. The Federal did that and then some!

Good for a one night stay
Publié le 5 oct. 2024 sur HotelsThis was just a quick one night stay. The pluses were that it was an update large room with good temperature control. I thought they lobby had a cool vibe - loved the decor. Although the bedroom was updated, the bathroom was not. We were on the backside of the hotel and you could hear freeway noise all night. Also, no coffee in the room but instead you go to the end of the hall. It’s the first thing I do in the morning so I slipped out there in my pajamas and of course ran into someone - just wish there was a maker in the room. No ice machine on the floor, so instead you go to the lobby and there is a freezer in a room with individually bagged ice, which was more than we needed so somewhat wasteful and the plastic bag was unnecessary.

Wonderful stay walkable to Bowdoin college

Lovely renovation! We stayed ten years ago when it was called The Daniel. Rooms were spotless.

We loved staying at The Federal! It was lovely. The bagged breakfast was excellent! The only thing we thought was a bit much was 50.00 a night for a dog. Per stay would be fine but nightly pricy. Still love the place.
