Solid with some caveats

Cabin was relatively new and was clean. Beds fairly comfortable for a rental. Enjoyed the pool table and great views. Appreciated fire wood bundles provided.
Cons:
Water had a strong odor of human waste. This was very offsetting and hurt our overall experience. We were gagging due to the smell.
We saw a mouse run through the kitchen the first night, and into a crevice to the right bottom side of the stove. The owners need pest control to address this.
The hot tub was severely over-chlorinated. When the jets were turned on, it bubbled like a bubble bath, giving off a burning smell of chlorine that hurt my daughter's eyes. Recommend draining the hot tub and filling with clean water.
The deck had several warped pieces of wood and a latter was left on it.
The WiFi did not work. We were not able to reach the rental company. The only network available did not much the info provided in the binder. The binder provided a user name and password. You don't need a user name to access a WiFi network, you need a password and the network name. Again, they did not match.

Publié le 28 août 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed here for the weekend for some fishing and just relaxing. This place is amazing from the cabin itself to the view you get at night and the morning. My only issue is the road to get there. You have to have an AWD/4wd car. It’s a pretty steep incline to get to the cabin. I wouldn’t expect less though with the view you get.

The perfect escape!

After renting many VRBO’s in the past, this property was hands-down the cleanest we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Every amenity we needed was thought of. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. The views are amazing.. God‘s handiwork at its finest.

The views were nothing short of amazing, offering a serene and private retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape to a mountain paradise.

Amazing views but tough road to get there
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the views from this property and the cabin was immaculate. It’s definitely the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed at. However, while we knew 4WD or AWD was required, we didn’t realize just how steep and rocky the road to get there would be. The neighbors said it was the worst they had seen the road, but we think more description of the rock road and its steepness would be helpful. Make sure you bring extra coolant for your car if going during summer. Additionally, the limit to two trash bags seemed a little ridiculous if people choose to cook most meals at the cabin and use bottled water due to the smell of sulfur. This was especially frustrating because the trash and recycling center that they suggested dropping excess trash off at doesn’t open until 1 pm on Sundays. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

A beautiful cabin with glorious view!

Beautiful Views
Publié le 22 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayHad a great time. Views are amazing along with the sunsets. You do need 4wd or AWD to get up the rocky steep hills leading to the property. All in all very nice property and house. Well stocked kitchen and hot tub was nice.

Great time at grand view
Publié le 17 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place is amazing! View is outstanding, cabin is magnificent. It did not bother us, but be warned the drive up to the cabin is likely the steepest road you will ever travel. You must have a reliable well functioning 4wd or AWD vehicle to make this trip.
Our only hiccup on the trip was not receiving the code to get in until tracking down the host and calling directly. This created a considerable amount of anxiety after traveling from Michigan and reserving this place sight unseen. Our host was gracious and helpful when we reached her, but we spent a couple hours very worried trying to figure out how we would get in.
