It’s country flavor, open fire pit, sitting area and convenience to Bryson.

Excellent hotel

John Mark is very kind and he takes well care of all guests. The breakfast is delicious, home-made prepared. On our trip we stayed in 4 hotels and this one was the best of all at a reasonable price.

The common areas were clean and cozy. However the room we booked was adequate but it was an add on and not in the inn and was nothing special. The kicker was the shower went cold after a few seconds and never warmed back up! A cold shower is unacceptable! We tried to call the office but they didn't answer. Next morning the lady in the office's response was "talk to him." His explanation was they over inhabited some of the rooms and the water heater couldn't handle it. That didn't help me. Breakfast was good and lady in the kitchen was friendly and helpful. But I would not book this "inn"'again nor recommend.

First, I have to correct you when you say your room was an "add on" and not part of the inn. All rooms are detached from the main house which constitutes an inn. We have no rooms in the main house. When you entered the office, the first thing you said was "Thanks for the cold shower". I was on the phone with a guest and so responded that you should talk to my husband as I was busy at the time. The truth is that one of our hot water heaters burned out and the one remaining could not accommodate all the guest in-house. We did not know about the burned out water heater as we would have told you upon check-in. You did fail to mention in your review we apologized several times for the inconvenience and gave you a 50% discount off the room.

I have never received a more warm welcome than when I walked in to check in. The property is a little old and could use minor patchwork here and there, but the entire place emanates the love put in to it. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and decorated nicely.

Lovely property and owners. Loved the common spaces which were beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast was delightful and the kids LOVED the waffles.

The McKinley-Edwards Inn was so so cute!! What a cool spot. We stayed after the Polar Express. Dog friendly, we brought our 2 pugs with us :). Breakfast was AMAZING.

Not for elderly or people with trouble walking

Posted Dec. 3, 2023 on Hotels
It’s a very pretty area, the bed is super comfortable. However, if you are going to relax in the morning it’s hard to do it’s very noisy. Also, for elderly or anyone that has slight trouble walking it is very very difficult to walk around. Definitely not handicap accessible!

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to leave a review. Unfortunately, you chose a time to visit when the Polar Express is running and the inn is filled with children. Since we are in a residential area, it is normally very quiet, just the whistle of the train can be heard several times of the day. We do not claim to be handicap accessible since the inn is a historic building, built on a hill, in the mountains. We do say this several times on our website and other third party sites.
