Avis HOLT - Birds of Paradise

First of all, location is perfect! I’m born and raised in Bucharest, but living in the US, and while visiting with my husband I had to find a good place to stay, where we can move around easily, not always by car (Uber and such). This apartment was perfectly located in the middle of everything, yet hidden away from the traffic noise. You have everything you wish minutes away: Carrefour, gym (just across), pharmacy, Starbucks, old town, restaurants and terraces (try the ones along the river during summertime). The apartment was really spacious and modern, we both loved it, although there were a few small inconveniences that it fell short on… The place itself feels like it’s made more for looks than practicability, but nothing that was a deal breaker to us. All bedrooms only have a tiny dresser with couple of shelves, so not an actual dresser to hang clothes on, which was an inconvenience for my husband to hang his shirts (he used the back of the bathroom door for that), or myself to hang a few long dresses… I used the couple of shelves in the dresser for most of my clothes, but my husband left most of them in the suitcase. Also, there is barely any space in the bathrooms to put your stuff away, maybe more in one of the them, but second one only a tiny shelf. There was definitely more space to add shelves or a small cabinet, but again, I felt like everything was designed for look, more than practicability. The one other thing missing was a clothes dryer, which would’ve been helpful for us while staying there for 2 weeks. We initially thought it’s a washer and dryer together, only to find out it’s just a regular washing machine and had to hang clothes to dry on a rack (available in the 2nd bedroom). Lastly, we arrived late in the evening, summertime, on a scorching heat, and would’ve been nice to find a few bottles of water in the fridge… We had to go to Carrefour late that evening just to get some water (luckily, that supermarket is open 24h). Perhaps it’s an idea for the owners to leave some water in the fridge for future guests :) Overall, we absolutely loved the place and location and I’m sure we couldn’t have found a better place in a better location for our needs! We travel there often for family and we plan on returning to this same place every time, if available. Highly recommended.

La doar cateva minute de Centrul Vechi, foarte spatios si elegant, foarte curat si linistit. Fiecare lucru are locul sau cu bun-gust si rafinament. Este perfect. Comunicarea este impecabila, iar echipa formata din profesionisti. Vom reveni cu siguranta! Multumim pentru tot.

The response and genuine thoughtfulness of the HOLT team was unparalleled. I've stayed at many places and the their dedication to help is outstanding. The location is perfect if you want to explore Bucharest. Nearby you have lots of restaurants, shops, and sightseeing places. The apartment is beautiful and completely equipped with everything you need. I can highly recommend this place!
