Staff gathering for a small business
Publié le 29 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had our staff gathering for our small business (3-4 employees only) in this property for the weekend. It was the perfect place! We gathered around the fire pit to share stories at night and grilled bbq during the day. Access to the lake came in handy. We rented out a pontoon. This property is very clean. All necessities were provided. It was also very close to grocery stores and shops. Host responded within a few minutes and even checked in on us by text when we arrived. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property for families and friends.

Very disappointing weekend- Lots of attention needed!

1. The curb appeal was awful: Crate Myrtles have overtaken the front of the house and entry into house and to the backyard (needs to be trimmed back greatly); Algae on siding and back of the house; Cobb webs everywhere outside (Chairs, table, all over ceiling); String of light do not work (only 4 light bulbs worked). The outside white couch on the dock has mold and mildew on it. It needs to be thrown out.
2. Inside the home needed much attention: Chairs at the dining room table were dry rotted. Bugs were all on table and floor. Sofa was dirty with stains and dust. In light of Covid, furniture should probably be non-porous (leather like) as opposed to cloth. Walls were marked up bad and needs to be painted and touched up. Bathroom had hair in the tub and sink with several bugs left visible. Bedroom sheets upstairs had bleach stains on it.
3. Please let people know that the phone signal is very very weak.
There is a lot of potential for this property. But what I experienced this past weekend was very disappointing. It’s like someone forgot we were coming.

Thank you for staying. I’m a bit confused by your review for you seemed to enjoy your stay. We have pest control service but due to the humidity and nature of the weather here, you may occasionally see a bug inside or outside that is not welcome in our home. However we do have the home treated regularly. We have landscape service come regularly unless weather is extreme or continuous rain that there is a delay in yard service. I do understand that phone reception is weak inside the house with certain carriers but a strong WIFI compensates it but when you go to the front or back yard celfone signal improves.
Rest assured, my team makes every effort to get the house ready for the next guest to enjoy so it is kinda odd that you only brought up your concerns after your stay and asked refund which made me feel uncomfortable and since I did not do it you left me a 1 star review.
Hopefully, our future guests can see the other 5 star reviews and excellent testimonials from past guests.
