Publié le 16 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed the uniqueness of the Cabin. It was charming and old. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. My partner enjoyed the heater in the bathroom. :-) We loved that it was out in the country. We took advantage of the area; hiked the Chessie Trail and visited Lexington numerous times. Thank you.

Excellent Wi-Fi if you place hotspot in kitchen window
Publié le 10 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were very happy with our stay at the cozy cabin. One thing I would recommend is NOT requiring visitors to report to a location in the town to pick up keys and stay instructions.
I think this could be simplified and not have guests frustrated before even making it to the property. Another cabiner said the same about improving the check-in process.
Otherwise - peace and tranquility awaits.

we have been doing this for 20 yrs. We do not give the address for the rental until a guest arrives. Our cabins are not marked with an address; GPS does not get you there on 250 ac of farmland; we keep no lights anywhere excepting at each cabin intentionally to keep “the country in the country”.
Guests arrive at all hours including the middle of the night & need step by step written directions in case of no reception to support finding their cabin and not get lost on one of our hayfields. The procedure we have is the safest we have found to have a key and driving directions to an accommodation. This does not differ from going to a real estate office to pick up the information and access to a vacation home. I have on numerous occasions gone to a real estate office for my own personal vacations. The PU address is 4mi/8 min from lodging. I am sorry this was irritating to you & happy that it did not keep you from enjoying that really sweet cabin on this absolutely gorgeous property. Thank you again for finding us. We appreciate your business.🙏

Horse trainer’s getaway
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis little cabin in the woods was exactly what I needed to get away from the stress of work and have some privacy between events at the horse center this week. It was only about 9 minutes from the complex. It was peaceful, and the host was extremely accommodating with a great sense of humor.

What a SPECTACULAR setting!
Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe truly enjoyed the property -- we walked to the labyrinth/hilltop each evening for sunset and also enjoyed the nearby Chessie Trail. Lexington is such a wonderful and relaxing place to be. Communication with hosts was great, and we appreciated the bottle of wine for us when we arrived. Thank you!!

Post Holiday Get Away

We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out.

Perfect respite spot

We were attracted by the authenticity of the cabin and its peaceful location. Retreat is the perfect description! As life would have it, there were some bumps in our lives that shook us deeply. The cabin was the perfect place for a reset. Quite, calming, beautiful inside and out. The walk to Mt. Grace was a perfect way to put some things in perspective. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.
