Creekside Log Cabin- conveniently located and direct creek access

Our log cabin is approximately 4 minutes from downtown Buena Vista and has easy access to Cottonwood Pass, both Mt. Princeton and Cottonwood Hot Springs, local Drive-In movie theater, hiking trails, rafting, horseback riding, fishing and many other outdoor adventures to be found in Buena Vista. The property includes direct access to the beautiful and relaxing Cottonwood Creek that can be heard from inside the cabin, something special to be found in Buena Vista. It is not unusual to see wildlife, primarily deer, down by the creek. Expansive views of the beautiful Sawatch mountain range, framed by 14,000 foot Mt. Princeton are highlighted from the front porch. Additonally, the property has a large driveway with ample space for parking (and a lot of space for easy turn around for larger vehicles or trailers).

This cabin is a wonderful fit for a family or couples. It has modern amenities and appliances in the kitchen, a wood pellet stove for the winter months, and is stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, linens, soaps, and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc.) . There are two bedrooms and a loft area which serves as the third sleeping area. The master bedroom has a king-sized Sleep Number bed with an attached full bathroom, complete with a large soaker-tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a larger walk-in closet. The loft has two queen beds. There is another full bathroom on the main level. The cabin sleeps 8.

We have internet and Netflix to provide for our guests.

Family time
Something for everyone. Had various ages and interests. Very comfortable and organized. Needs access to lower patio with table and chairs from house. Area not used by us. Sliding doors to it but no access to door. Had to go down steep steps to reach area,very inconvenient ,not able to be enjoyed by older family members. Nice place though, would rent again.

Everything about this property was excellent. From our initial contact with the property manager (Carrie) until the time we left, things went smoothly. The cabin lacks nothing in the way of amenities and ranks as one of the best places we've stayed. It is close to town, but out where you are away from sound of traffic. We were able to enjoy the towns 4th of July fireworks event from the front porch! Carrie provided a detailed list of trails/activities in the Buena Vista area which we utilized to our benefit during our stay. There are great views from the cabin as well. We appreciate you allowing us onto your property.

It was super nice, but one thing stood out to my wife: the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (teas, coffee, spices, ziplock bags, utensils etc). There is a ton of space for your family to spread out. We enjoyed the creek in the back! Also, very quick drive into Buena Vista, which we thought would be a great place to live.

My family and I stayed at this Buena Vista cabin for 2 days during our summer Colorado vacation and we had a wonderful experience! The cabin is very new and in great condition. The kitchen, baths and bedrooms are pristine. Our kids loved the loft bedroom. There is a creek behind the cabin with a picnic table. The cabin is conveniently located 2 minutes from town, is close to white water rafting outfitters, and is located right off the road that leads to the Cottonwood pass and the continental divide not to mention numerous hiking trails. You can’t go wrong with this cabin!

My husband and I stayed here for several days in September. The house is impeccably clean and organized. It’s very well stocked with all we needed except for a few groceries that we bought from nearby City Market. There is a creek that runs through the property behind the house, and the views of the mountains are beautiful! We had a small glitch with the internet, but Carrie was very quick to respond, and the issue was easily resolved. I would definitely recommend a stay here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's cabin! We spent 3 nights there and it was very comfortable. Me, my husband, daughter & granddaughters had plenty of personal space. It was perfect for us with more than enough room to spare. Carrie was very accommodating and had a play pen for the baby and even provided a sheet for it. There were plenty of towels for everyone and lots of extras. Everything was very clean & organized. We loved the extra touch of the labels & signs around the cabin! Every drawer and cabinet was labeled with what goes where. The kitchen was well stocked with spices & seasonings as well as lots of dishes, pots & pans and utensils. The views were great and we loved being able to go down to the stream! We would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to the area! I would highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing stay close to downtown Buena Vista.

Escaping the KS Heat!
Wonderful cabin! Well situated just outside of town for privacy, but close enough to make trips in all directions. The cabin is very well appointed and maintained. We felt right at home and appreciated the detailed cabin notes and suggestions for activities- several of which we experienced during our stay. This all made the trip feel seamless and stress-free. Nothing in BV is terribly far away, so there are many options and with the location, the stars are incredible on a clear night. We will find our way back to CO again and when we do, we will absolutely look to stay here again!
