Beautiful Fall Weekend

We enjoyed this property. We were visiting VMI for family weekend Well stocked, plenty of room, comfortable and homey. Lots of added touches like snacks and some basic foods (bread, milk eggs, cereal) to get folks started. Workout equipment! Nicely decorated. Beautiful views with a lovely patio. Would stay again.

Perfect place for family

This was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting W&L for the weekend. It was clean, had gorgeous views, thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge, and a responsive host. We stayed with our toddler and felt right at home with a pack and play, highchair, and streaming services on the TV. He even allowed us to check in early for the kiddo’s naptime! Less than 10 mins to downtown Lexington, too. Really glad we stayed here.

Little piece of heaven

This is a great place to stay. It is very well laid out inside with a great view. My wife and I travel to Lexington several times a year. This will be our go to place to stay.

Gorgeous setting and nice accommodation

The view from the patio is amazing. The apartment is the bottom floor of a beautiful home. We booked a last minute trip and the owner (who lives there) was very responsive and cooperative. They left milk, cream, coffee, eggs, muffins and cereal and snacks. Lovely touch. The area is fun to explore and apartment is in a central location. Lexington is 10 minutes away, nice college town. Many hikes and trails nearby. Several good restaurants. Very enjoyable.

Graduation visit

Loved the location and views. Owner Kirk was great with communications and answers to my questions. Place was very nice and most of what owner described was accurate. I loved having breakfast food available- nice extra touch. Only downside was a lot of flies who invaded the place- especially near the breakfast area. Also 2 noisy dogs- especially the smaller, noisier dog- and people (and dogs) walking the floors above at 4:45 am the night we arrived were a bit much to handle. Other than that it was great rental in hard-to-find lodging for W&L graduation in Lexington VA.

Hi Sara, thanks for the feedback and I apologize about these issues. My wife is a nurse who works a 7-7 shift in Roanoke on Mondays and Thursdays, so gets up at 4:30 and of course the dogs get excited. It’s not usually an issue because we rarely rent on weekends but made an exception for graduation (and thankfully the noisy little dog, a yappy Chihuahua belongs to our adult son who is moving to C’ville June 1). The fly issue embarrassed me; I think it must have happened because it was one of the first really warm days of spring and flies come out of their wintering hideouts. I’ve recaulked around all the windows and vacuumed out the window slides thoroughly, so hopefully won’t recur. Hope you enjoyed the graduation in spite of it!

great property

We stayed while visiting our son at VMI. The unit was great, very roomy and clean and a great view with the outdoor area. Great communication from the owner throughout. It was a short drive to downtown Lexington .
