Rental agreement is required with ID verification.
Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed at this property. If guests are caught with a pet, guests may be subject to an immediate cancellation without refund. If evidence is found after your stay, there will be a $150 penalty for rule violation.
Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.

Beautiful private home with outstanding view
We very much enjoyed our weekend at this wonderful home. Everything was clean and well decorated. Kitchen is well stocked. Communication with host was easy and quick. Beautiful backyard with firepit and bluff views. Front deck is very large and provides a gorgeous view. Would definitely recommend to others staying in the area & would love to visit again one day.

gorgeous property and surrounding area. Relaxed at the house around the fire and balcony, fished the pond. Great area to catch the wine trail. Several wineries within 15-20 min drive.

Beautiful property with an amazing view. It was the perfect place to access the local wineries during the day and enjoy each other's company playing cards and catching up. We were able make some great dinners and enjoy the firepit. Great property can't wait to come back!

We celebrated my husbands 80th birthday with the kids and grandkids. We spent time fishing and outdoor time and games at night. Kids and grands came from Springfield, IL, Colorado and California. Our 8 year described the house as a cabin and the downstairs as a hotel.

Very well stocked house. The owners don't expect you to bring your own supplies which makes the stay more relaxing. The bluffs behind the house are incredible. Views out front gorgeous. Nearby hiking and wineries. Great stay:)

Perfect Getaway
What a fabulous weekend at Rock Ridge! Fishing, hiking, S’mores & laughter around the campfire, stargazing, the list goes on! 4 adults and 3 kids ages 8-12 - never lacking something to do! Allison was fantastic to communicate with, just made things go so smoothly. Thank you again and we’ll be back.

A perfect place to reconnect with family, friends, and nature.
Spent Memorial Day on the property with family and our friend's family. The drive up is gorgeous and the view from the living room is breathtaking. Perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or for stargazing at night. Property was well kempt and the owner was very responsive anytime we had a question. It was an easy drive to the numerous sites in the Shawnee National Forest. We would definitely stay here again and we would recommend this property to anyone interested in spending quality time with friends or family.

My husband and adult children spent the weekend in this lovely home for our daughter’s SIU law school graduation.The home has incredible views from all rooms.The kitchen was very well equipped and the bedrooms were very comfortable.We were happy to have found this home and highly recommend.

Amazing getaway
Beautiful property close to hiking trails. We took our two boys (4 and7) who had a great time at the cabin as well as the surrounding hiking trails. Giant city was the best along with a trip to Boo park. The cabin is very nice with everything you need to cook. We had deer come around the property every morning and evening. If you want to get away, this is a great place to relax and explore.

Amazing house, with the most beautiful scenery. Pictures just don't really show how beautiful it is. Setting on the deck and being able to see a Hummingbird, bats and a blue tailed skink. Overall everything was great. A few housekeeping issues in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Amazing
Our stay was absolutely amazing! The property is huge and maintained and the house is clean and updated. We couldn’t have loved our stay any more! The kids were able to play outside safely while we prepared dinner with the kitchen situated perfectly. We were perfectly located to take drives within 30 min to many of the state parks. We checked out Ferne Clyffe and Giant City. We also picked our own strawberries at hallsberry Farms, and walked the boardwalk at Section8 woods to check out the cypress swamp. We also got to spend ample time at the property to enjoy the pond and the views and dinners together! We didn’t have a single issue that we needed to contact the property managers but I have no question in my mind they would have been attentive to any issue we had based on their attention to detail in the house! Our trip was short but packed with so many great memories and we can’t wait to return to this property again!

Outstanding view and great house
We loved our stay here, the view is just amazing. Whoever planned and built this house did it right. We spent 90% of our time on the deck. The full moon nights were stunning. Bring binoculars, lots of birds to watch. The house was clean, beds comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed to cook. Great ice maker in the fridge. A feature of the house is tons of windows, so bring an eye mask for sleeping up in the loft. The downstairs bedrooms are able to be dark. We loved taking walks up and down the long gravel drive in the morning and evening. Such a beautiful property!
