Modern Cabin on trophy section of Cumberland River-Minutes to Dale Hollow

The Trout House is as close to Cumberland River as one can be. With many games and a kitchen stocked for those who like to cook, this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy family time.

For those who want to fish, the cabin is only one lot over from the community boat ramp. Located on the trophy section of the river, the cabin easily accommodates a family or two or a group of friends with an open living room and kitchen.

The nearest grocery, liquor store, and dollar store are all about five minutes away.

For your entertainment, the cabin boasts an outdoor fire pit, foosball, and cornhole. More games are available in the unfinished basement—ping pong, shuffleboard, and darts! The unfinished basement is set up as game room but does have an extra fridge, a bathroom, and a commercial sink.

Granite countertops, handcrafted cabinetry, a Keurig with latte/cappuccino feature, and a standard coffee pot are part of the well-stocked kitchen. The indoor dining table has seating for 10. Three additional outdoor dining tables each seat six each.

The home was designed to enjoy the views of the river and has two screened-in porches, a large patio, and a deck, all facing the river. There is also plenty of parking if you’re bringing your boat for a day at the lake.

We’ve tried to furnish this home with everything that you need to relax. There’s even a record player with records and a guitar all waiting to be played!

If you’re looking for golf, hiking, or lake boating, the cabin is about 15 minutes from Dale Hollow State Park.
The closest marina to the cabin is Sulphur Creek Marina, and is less than 8 miles away. Sulphur Creek has pontoon rentals, outdoor lakeside dining, and generally offers live music on the weekends!

WOW!
We enjoyed the house and accomodations very much! The house sits right above the Cumberland River and hearing the water close by was amazing. Everything I hoped for….
The cabin was amazing, right on the river, lots of space and privacy. The kitchen was so well stocked! I’m so used to bringing my entire kitchen with me (I love to cook), not necessary here! It was clean, lots to do, games galore - the game room downstairs and corn hole was time well spent. We had several days on the river, a couple at Dale Hallow, and a day at Southern KY Distillery. Book Mammoth Cave in advance if that’s something you want to do. We wanted to go, but there was only one ticket by the time we tried to book. Highly recommend this cabin, and the owners were wonderful and responsive — 5/5!!

Had the best stay. House had everything you could think of. The river was chilly, but on those hot days, it was great. Dale hollow lake close. Would definitely be going back! Only suggestion, consider adding some stepping stones that lead from the stairs to the basement. Rocks aren't fun on the bare feet.

My daughters and I had the best time while staying here. The cabin is very close to several marinas and is FULL of games. I have a teenager and a seven year old and both had a blast enjoying the games that came with the cabin. Pictures don’t do the cabin justice.

This is an amazing home with loads of outside space. The house is very well equipped with anything you might need. Very kid and dog friendly. The hosts were extremely responsive. The only issue we had was very high water making it difficult to launch our boat on the lake. We ended up at the state park marina, which ended up being a great experience. We highly recommend Mikes at Sulphur Creek Marina!

Property is just like the pictures show. Beautiful house on the Cumberland River. Beds so comfortable, everything was clean and comfortable. We had 4 adults and our little dog. Felt just like home. So much room and the basement with the ping pong table, darts and shuffle board was great for evenings after dinner. We would definitely rent this property again. No need to keep searching! A true gem & perfect house for a long-weekend get-away. The photos do not do this home justice. Home has all the amenities you could think of and more! Cozy and modern!! My husband and I try to getaway to this home a couple times a year. Thankful to find a beautiful home right on the Cumberland River that allows our two boxer dogs to be apart of the family fishing trip.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was new and modern and very clean. We especially enjoyed that it was pet friendly and had a lot of games for our family to enjoy after a day on the lake. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Family get away
Very nice property, right on the river. All kinds of games to keep the kids and adults busy. No luck fishing at the cabin, but we spent a day on the river with a guide, and we caught several trout, also were able to see eagles and other wildlife. Amy was very helpful answering any questions that we had.

Anniversary Getaway!
We were hoping our sons and their families would join us but it didnt work out. This home was awesome for our anniversary, we had a ton of space and will definitely come again. The view of the river from the porches was relaxing, really close to Sulphur Creek to launch our waverunners. Appreciated the cleanliness and the tips Amy provides to enjoy the stay.
