Lakefront Paradise
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe booked this trip to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday and without question this was one of the most amazing houses we have ever stayed in for a vacation. The location is incredible and we enjoyed every inch of the house from the back porch, the star gazing pad up on the roof and down at the dock in the water. The dock allowed us to have our boats tied up overnight and we were able to also swim down by them too. Overall such a fun time and the house not only had everything it said it would, but more than we even expected. The house slept all 10 of us comfortably and everything was so clean and organized. Without a doubt we will be back for another stay! Thank you Dan & Stacy for hosting us.

Great Property
Publié le 5 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a group of 7 come stay here for a week for my wife’s birthday and the 4th. The house was perfectly sized for us; we didn’t feel cramped at all. The house itself is really nice and recently built and had everything we needed. It’s secluded and quiet and was relaxing for our group and we’d probably stay here again in the future.
Only 2 minor nitpicks for our stay: I’m not sure the pictures show just how far down the dock is from the house. It’s not long, just down quite a bit from the house, so lots of stairs. Second, we were excited to watch the fireworks from the 4th from the balcony on top of the house, but opening the door from the second floor we were met with a nest of spiders and tons of webs. Would have been nice to have that cleaned up before we arrived. The interior of the home was spotless however.

The tranquility was much appreciated ; Stepping out onto the dock to fish or simply lounging on the balcony was an incredible experience. The house is beautifully adorned with vibrant flowers, creating a stunning atmosphere. It was so clean and very well stocked for family festivities. Thank you for hosting us!

Family of 3 getaway
Publié le 31 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was clean and beautiful. And the neighborhood and location were nice. The owners were extremely knowledgeable and communicated well during our stay. The sunsets were amazing and access to a personal dock was great. The only thing that stopped this from being a 5 star review was some misleading information in the description. This house is listed as a place to spread out and relax with plenty of space between you and the neighbors. While there was plenty of space between us and the neighbors, we were not made aware until after we booked that there is a tenant a few yards away on the property. And she made her presence known. Without notice she would be at the front of the house watering the plant's about 7:30 to 7:45AM. The front doors and windows are floor to ceiling and with someone walking around it was very visible to our dogs there was a stranger there and they would start to bark. We tried to close the blinds completely but it was still noticeable to them. So waking up early every morning to our dogs barking at someone in the window was not great. She also showed up in the evening as well, unannounced to check on the plants. When we were BBQ-ing in the back patio one afternoon we were surprised to see about 5 ladies walking on the property passed us to go to the tenants house. Which of course freaked out our dogs as well as ourselves. With the tenant coming and going as they pleased we didnt really feel we had the privacy and relaxation as adadvertised.

As the old saying goes, you can’t please them all.
It’s been over 100° at the house for over 40 days this summer. We try hard to keep the place looking good for our guests and as such, there is a team that helps us do that. The groundskeeper’s job is to maintain the landscaping. That’s a daily job when it’s this hot. There’s always a possibility that a groundskeeper could show up when you’re staying at someone else’s property that is well-kept. The groundskeepers’ watering schedule is not something most people want to be bothered by. Had they knocked at 7:00a to let them know they would be watering, I’m sure they would complain about that too. We try to not bother guests unless they need to come inside for something.
The houses are over 200 feet apart… much more spread out and private than most lakefront neighborhoods. These guests seemed offended that we didn’t make them aware that the neighbor was going to have some friends over that weekend day… because their dogs barked. How are we supposed to know what the neighbors are doing, and how are we supposed to know your dogs bark at everything?!? This sounds to me like a dog being a dog, not a neighbor problem. We love dogs, we had 4 of them. Also, dogs bark…
As I go back and read all of the other 5 star reviews we’ve received, I’m inclined to believe these guests were looking for a reason to be the first to give less than 5 stars.

Has a lot to offer for any outdoor activity. Your own dock…for your boat. A very quiet and peaceful location. My family and friends that came by to visit are eager to vacation here. We will definitely come back!!! Our host Dan was amazing!!!

Beautiful home, gorgeous view

Communications with the owners was clear, timely, and they have alot of great suggestions of things to do around the area. Would highly recommend!!
