Long Range Views from Beautiful Modern Cabin

Nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains, the "Grouse House'' is a true escape. Thoughtfully renovated, this mountain cabin is fresh and clean with primary consideration given to comfort, relaxation, and enjoying magnificent mountain views.

Whether your vacation goals are to nestle in to complete relaxation, or to use the space as a launch pad for a day of outdoor activity, both speeds are accommodated for. Miles of trails are available within the Wolf Laurel community, and as lovers of the outdoors ourselves, we are happy to point you in the right direction for a hike that works best for you. The area is also rich with additional outdoor activities including swimming, horseback riding, zip lining, and rafting. (But it’s also ok to spend the day curled up with a good book by the fireplace or on the deck with the fresh alpine air.)

About the Space:
Perched at 4825’ elevation, this cabin offers mountain views from nearly every angle. Whether you are dining at the indoor table, waking up in the king size bed, or sipping coffee in a rocking chair on the large covered deck, you will be treated to long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and The Pisgah National Forest.

Inside, you’ll find comfortable beds and furniture, new appliances, high vaulted ceilings, and a modern, minimalist aesthetic. With everything you need, and nothing that you don’t, the interior of the home will allow you to completely unwind and relax within the natural setting.

The cabin resides within the 5,000 acres of land that comprise Wolf Laurel Resort. As part of your stay, you will also receive access to the Village Club. Benefits include a heated seasonal outdoor pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, trout pond, children’s playground, yoga classes and more.

Guest Access:
You will enjoy access to the entire home during your stay. For your convenience, the house is set up for contactless self check-in with keyless entry. A unique code will be generated for the length of your stay that will unlock the main door. Entry point to Wolf Laurel Resort is gated with a staffed attendant. Booked guests will check in with the attendant for access.

Wolf Laurel:
Wolf Laurel Resort is a gated community of over 5,000 acres located just off I-26, approximately 30 miles north of Asheville, NC. This mature community was started in 1965 and has elevations ranging from 3,800 feet to over 5,000 feet above sea level. The resort is mostly surrounded by The Pisgah National Forest and boasts 3 entrances to the Appalachian Trail. Also, recently added was a 750 acre nature land preserve trust. Wolf Laurel Country Club has an award winning mountain golf course that has the distinction of being the highest course east of the Mississippi River. Wolf Laurel Resort provides year round recreational activities including horseback riding, tennis, heated swimming pool, hiking trails, stocked trout pond with numerous creeks, events pavilions, children’s programs, and golf. Eighty acres of ski slopes and tubing offer ample winter fun.

Other things to note:
Host does not live on site and is generally not available in-person during your stay, but is quick to communicate and address any questions or concerns. If any cleaning or maintenance needs arise during your stay that require in-person support, we have staff nearby and can make arrangements to address them promptly.
Though the WIFI is strong, Wolf Laurel Resort has spotty cell service throughout the community. WIFI calling is available in the home and you may have regular cell service on the property but it is not guaranteed.

We are committed to providing you with an excellent vacation experience. A very clean home is one way we can make you feel at home. We follow the enhanced cleaning protocols of Airbnb including:

1. Wash and disinfect hands before cleaning
2. Ventilating the space before and during cleaning
3. Sweep, vacuum, dust, and wipe surfaces with soap and water
4. Wash dishes and laundry at the highest heat setting possible
5. Sanitize high touch surfaces in each room with approved disinfecting cleaners.
