Great setting in a small town

Pour : The building has been sympathetically used to convert to hotel spa.
Emplacement : Great location just outside of the village of Ramsbottom, close to all facilities, the walk past the duck pond is lovely - very quiet relaxin location
A very pleasant experience, comfy bed, extremely clean and inviting. Staff happy and helpful.
There are quite a few stairs but this adds to the experience of the old building, just need to be aware if you are not that mobile.

Lovely location but the hotel is very run down and in desperate need of refurbishment.

Lovely historical hotel and I love Ramsbottom as a place to visit. We did walks up to Peel tower and went on the steam train. Fantastic places to eat too - Cocoa Tree is a delight!

Amazing staff, attentive and friendly, cooked breakfast is excellent.
Rooms are extremely basic though and desperately need fridges, phone to reception, room service, shampoo AND conditioner. Though not common in UK, ice/vending machine, AC, and microwave would be great too.
The proximity to town, enjoyable grounds, and lovely staff more than make up for the rudimentary rooms though and we will certainly return and recommend!

Comfortable and good price

Worn out carpets

Breakfast good and helpful people.
The carpets on the second floor were disgusting dirty need a good clean or renewed.
Our room for £89 was so small we could just about get in bed.
The single room wasn’t much better. And should not of been charged at the same price as the double.
2 star only.

We were up for a wedding in Burnley so did not have much time in the hotel.
