Sadly despite informing Hotel of arriving late I was refused my booking, In a hurry I forgot my cards & the attitude of staff was Utterly Unbelievable, I am a respectable lady of senior years also diabetic. Only visiting to lecture at nearby college next day. I asked if he would phone my husband to confirm bank details were same as booking. 3 hours drive from home late on a wet night I was forced to sleep in my car with only a jacket for bedding, Utterly Disgusted & considering Trading standards etc

I love staying here. The view from the lodge is great and staff are wonderful. My only issue this visit was the lack of light in the car park. We arrived in the dark and couldn’t really see to get luggage out of the car and needed to use a torch to get to our room, which was in an lodge (by choice) and not part of the main building. Other than that it was great!

A comfortable stay for reasonable price

The room, although quite small, was clean, had a comfortable bed, a little bathroom and all the usual basics, ie tv, coffee making facilities with a nice selection and even a microwave. The location is very quiet, so we had a good night's sleep. Can't comment on bar and restaurant as we didn't have breakfast or dinner there, but opted for a pub 1mile down the road. Will stay there again.
