Cabin on the lake
Posted Sep. 13, 2024 on HomeAwayBeautiful cabin. But it is very remote. Nothing within miles. I had no cell service, which being from SC we had no idea where to go up there. I discovered that there was no WIFI. When I reached out to Brenda, said they could get it fixed next week. Brenda also reminded me it is an amenity, not guaranteed. There is no landline. I would hate to have am emergency, no way to call for help at that cabin when WiFi is down. I disagreed on WIFI as an amenity, Brenda called VRBO and had us thrown out. Gave us our money back. But, we had no place to go. She said not her problem. For a premier host, her skills at dealing with folks is questionable. We had an hour to get out. Beware. Don’t ask about local channels, that was unthinkable. It was just a question, thought we were missing something on the remote. We were very unhappy.

I have been a host for 12 years. Never in the history of my guests have I had a guest so mentally disconnected. Completely miserable human bent on sharing her misery. She lost her mind because the internet was down. 1 time in 12 years the internet went down and she had to be the one. She is the only guest after 12 years and 4 separate properties that I ever asked to leave. I literally paid her to leave. My properties are paid for I do not have to take abuse from crazy people. Incidently the internet was never down. She had disconnected the plug. We simply plugged it back up and it worked perfectly. She threw her 3 hour crazy fit for nothing. May I suggest you read my many many positive reviews before taking her seriously. She said she was “unhappy” Something tells me she is always unhappy.

Long Weekend
Posted Sep. 5, 2024 on HomeAwayThe cabin was very cute, hot tub was great. One of the main reasons we booked was for the fire pit however it was completely out of propane so we couldn’t use it. There was also only 1 cushion for the two chaise lounge chairs. There is also a bee and wasp problem on the back deck which is unfortunate for someone who is allergic like myself. Overall a nice secluded property.

Quaint Hideaway for 2

Relaxing getaway in beautiful spot
Posted Aug. 8, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was a truly relaxing and lovely getaway. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and it is quiet and peaceful at the house. The lower deck with the lounge chairs was a perfect morning and evening spot to relax and enjoy the lake. The hot tub was clean, as was everything else in the house. The host was easy to get ahold of and communicated clearly. A great place to stay! One thing to think about - the space, especially in the bedroom, is small. The pictures reflect this quite well, just make sure you're good with that and you will have a wonderful time!

Perfect Get Away Retreat

Stay at Watuga
Posted Jun. 26, 2024 on HomeAwayThoroughly enjoyed our stay! Wonderful location and private. Was able to park out boat/trailer and felt very safe to leave it as we ventured out. The host was very accommodating and returned our call/messages quickly. I would mention the phone service is poor and the road leading down to the house was rough.
