Hideaway stay
Publié le 26 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayGreat value for secluded peaceful retreat! Close to great sightseeing and recreational activities. We weren't looking for restaurants did our own cooking and packed lunches for our daytime activities. Did lot of picnics and hikes in the area.

The fire is a wonderful edition and the home is perfectly situated in a secluded wooded area with a large front porch to dine or have coffee. The house is very clean and loaded with just the items you forget to bring (it feels like anyway). It's definitely a home away from home.

Every trip has been relaxing and the houses have all been well equipped. We have been searching for a house for the past five years and finally found our retirement home on this trip.

Clean and Quiet

Well stocked with the essentials, comfortable beds/furniture, great remote location so very quiet, and close to hiking and lake activities. The hosts provided some great info about the area and were available as needed. Overall enjoyed the stay!

A Lovely retreat in the forests of TN
Publié le 10 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I wanted to bike the trails of Virginia, boat the lakes in the area and spend time in the hills of TN.
Karen & Greg’s place was a perfect location for our plans. It’s in an incredibly peaceful setting not far from Elizabethton. There’s a wonderful take-out Thai restaurant nearby. We especially loved the large deck and enjoyed our meals there. Thank you Karen and Greg for providing such a well stocked and lovely location to begin & end our days. We’d love staying with you again when in the area. M&P

Publié le 17 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe have stayed here so often that we refer to this property as “our cabin”. It is our go to place in March and August. We love the peace and quiet. You want for nothing. Karen and Greg are the best hosts on VRBO. They always check to make sure everything is OK. We always take advantage of the front porch and eat our meals out there. We love to read and love to read in the chairs provided. There is always a trip to Boone NC and Trade TN. The cabin is centrally located to lots of things and places. It is furnished with everything you could possibly want from kitchen to bathroom to laundry room. The beds are comfortable and it is so clean. Fire pit is great! The absolute best thing about your experience here is ~ Karen and Greg. Thank you so much for awesome experiences each time we have stayed!
