Quiet Village, House is a work of Art
Publié le 20 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our 5 night stay in March 2024. We stayed in the main house. It has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook yourselves a great meal. There are few restaurants in the village a 10 minute walk away.
The building is a work of art. Quiet and just on the edge of town. There was someone there each morning asking if we had any needs. They fixed a few minor things right away. There is snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas that you can borrow from the house.
The owners gave a detailed run down on how to get there and what to pick up in San Josue del Cabo, as there is only a convienence store in town. And the hiking trails in town.

Incredible Property
Publié le 6 avr. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe attention to detail in everything in El Encanto is beautiful. The gardens are filled with diverse, unique plants, the yard is filled with birds, and the house is filled with fun art and artistic details. We love the simple, friendly town at the end of the road, and the "Tacos and Beers" restaurant on the water.

Amazing property—everything we needed
Publié le 11 déc. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe love to be surrounded by art, and El Encanto is indeed a work of art. Charming and comfortable is a combination that can’t be beat! The bed was nice and firm (and we’re picky about that because of my husband’s back issues), the kitchen well appointed, and the book and DVD selection divine. There was even a book written by someone I know.
The property manager, Junior, is wonderful—responsive and meticulous, and a wealth of information. He was very helpful with advice on snorkeling locations, although we didn’t get to do as much as we’d like because the wind kicked up. We also enjoyed visiting with the other guests who were staying in the casita.
If we had any recommendations, one would be that the mosquito netting over the bed should be unfurled between every guest so the debris can be removed, and inspected for holes. We didn’t actually use it or need it, but it looked a little worn. All in all, though, we had a great time!

As magical as Cabo Pulmo
Publié le 18 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe absolutely loved this property. We had the main house (with a full kitchen). It is beautiful. The desert landscaping, the beautiful art, the many places to watch the birds - it was all so lovely. And holy cow was the kitchen ever stocked - they had almost every implement you could imagine. Our favorite part was waking to the sound of the waves.

Charming property
Publié le 24 janv. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay at El Encanto. The property is even nicer than the pictures show. A true Mexican home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need (clearly the owner enjoys cooking). You need to stock up on groceries before you drive to Cabo Pulmo. There is no grocery store in Cabo Pulmo and once you’ve made the trek there, you won’t want to go back.
We dove on our first day and then the weather changed and got cool and rainy, so we relaxed at the house for the rest of our stay. The gardens around the house are very “bird friendly” so we enjoyed reading on the porch and watching the birds. There were several books at the house to help us identify the various species. The other fun activity was star gazing at night. Absolutely spectacular!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

A magical oasis
Publié le 10 févr. 2020 sur HomeAwayThe pictures don’t convey the charm and beauty of this special home. It’s well appointed with everything you need to make wonderful meals in the kitchen. The rooms are artfully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. And from the veranda we enjoyed watching all sorts of birds in the stunningly planted garden. The owners have thought of everything. The town is equally charming, friendly and special. The water Temperature and wind limited our snorkel time, but we hiked the abundant trails, spent a lovely afternoon at Playa El Arbolito south of town, and tried each of the restaurants. We met several townspeople who eagerly shared their knowledge of the flora and fauna. And the other tourists were the kind of folk we enjoy—seasoned travelers who seek the serenity and life-affirming experiences exploring the natural world and unspoiled villages like Cabo Pulmo. We watched the Super Bowl (!) at one of the restaurants with travelers from Germany, BC, And France—none of whom understood the rules but it made for a lot of laughs. We met a lovely trio of interesting and lively women at Tito’s Saturday night buffet who later invited us to dinner and a music jam comprised of travelers and locals. Junior was incredibly responsive, warm and available when we had a couple of questions. Thanks very much to our hosts Diane and Rob for entrusting your lovely home to us!

Nothing short of amazing!
Publié le 22 janv. 2020 sur HomeAwayWe loved this house and this town. What a way to spend Christmas! The house was beautifully decorated, the kitchen well appointed and the king bed extremely comfortable. Cabo Pulmo is a special place and we feel grateful to have had the opportunity to discover it for ourselves. We will certainly be back again one day!

Lovely and safe!
Publié le 19 oct. 2019 sur HomeAwayEl Encanto was just perfect .!!!
It was homey, comfy , very inviting and filled with lovely art, with an awesome open to the courtyard fully appointed kitchen . The courtyard besides being so peaceful and beautiful also has an encircling stucco wall for complete privacy.
On our stay we got hit by Hurricane Lorena and we were quite grateful we were in this well built home.

El Encanto is aptly named!
Publié le 16 oct. 2019 sur HomeAwayThis charming property casts it's enchantment the moment you step through the arched gate into the serene private garden, and continues into the beautifully designed house. The layout is unique and clever, while keeping to traditional colors, materials and finishes. The spacious and modern kitchen forms the centerpoint for relaxing indoors and out, surrounded by colorful contemporary art and fun fixtures throughout. My wife and I spent three nights in late September in the lower floor of the main house; other guests occupied the upper floor and the Casita. Conversations are overheard, of course, when everyone is hanging out outside in the evenings, but noise was not an issue for our stay. The property manager, Henri (Puli was out of town), is attentive and available, and a delight to chat with. The bed is comfortable, and since September is hot in Baja, we found the additional AC fee a wise investment at bedtime. Make sure, also, to use the mosquito net around the bed if you tend to be favorite prey.
We went to Cabo Pulmo for the combination of quiet, simple remoteness and world-class diving. It does not disappoint on either point! If you dive, Cabo Pulmo should be on your list! The town is off-grid, so energy conservation means it's gloriously dark at night - the stars are amazing! Beyond the spectacular diving (and by extension snorkeling), there are really no other "activities" in town besides sprawling on the beach with a good book. It may not be a good destination for families who need lots of things for the kids to do. Of the half dozen restaurants in town, we ate at the Coral Reef restaurant twice, and did take-out from El Caballero a couple times for beach picnics. Both are quite good, with Coral Reef pricier for more interesting takes on traditional Mexican ingredients, and El Caballero providing tasty, inexpensive offerings from a conventional Mexican menu. El Caballero has a small shop with a few basics (think gas station mini mart), so plan on hitting one of the grocery stores by the airport before heading out to Cabo Pulmo. The 90 minute drive is easy; we saw very few other cars. The last 10km/20 minutes is unpaved, as is all of Cabo Pulmo, but you don't need to rent a Jeep.

Such a great spot with so much love and care put into every nook and cranny.
Publié le 15 mars 2019 sur HomeAwayThe area is super chill but still has a lot to offer for those who are more active. Decent restaurants, good snorkeling, hiking, mountain biking, vegeatable truck on Fridays, the locals are all friendly, the dogs are healthy, and this property is divine. It’s a piece of artistic creation with a great kitchen, comfortable beds, a beautiful garden and so much more
