Beautiful views of the lake
Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed being so close to the lake. Enjoyed fishing, the overly friendly raccoon, and the huge groundhog that ran around. I don’t think those beds are queen size though. Probably more like fulls..
as I think stayed.

I happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We have over 40 beds on the street and they are all queen size beds. This makes housekeeping alot easier. The only other option we offer is twins ans they are only in the over flow rooms of other properties. Thanks for choosing to stay with us.

Great Location, Disappointing House
Publié le 5 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe view of the water and bridge is beautiful! Great location. The house is run down and had enough cobwebs to stuff a pillow. Comfortable beds. Kitchen is well supplied with pans, plates, utensils, etc. The spiral staircase is made for Barbie feet. Even my size 5's were challenged. Our dog had to be transported up and down using the outside stairs and after a couple cocktails so did I! Place really needs a lot of small repairs. The large deck has rotten boards and no comfortable seating. Really fun having the pontoon boat but they, too, are in need of maintenance. I kinda felt sorry for the place.

After a few conversations back and forth for clarification of this review the best I can tell is you found cobwebs inside the property. You didn't tell me where. I'll go ahead and assume they are way up in the aframe ceiling. Again I don't know because none of your complaints have a specific location. This house is the most popular house we offer and rarely has a day unused so I guarantee you weren't walking thru cobwebs inside the house where everyday traffic is. Thanks to your kind review of the deck we now have to fill out a survey from vrbo about the deck safety. You couldn't tell me where this loose deck board was either, left side is all. We paid someone over $200 to inspect the deck and found nothing that wasn't structurally sound. I'm 6'6" and I wear a size 16 shoe..Yes I fully agree the sprial steps are tight but I'm a giant! I'v never had a normal size person have an issues with the, normal, everyday, spiral stairs. Try ising the hand rail side next time, it's wider. If your knees are old, not for you. If you are rather round, spiral stairs not for you. If you don't know how to use spiral stairs, ya probably shouldn't. If you think you may drink too much to navigate the steps, sleep on the couch. I'm not even going to address the boat. I guess you needed a brand new pontoon for your complimentary ride. We rent from our website all year long and they are fine, not super new and yes by the end of the season the seats are torn. The motor runs, it's clean, and comfortable

Things to consider
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I both feel it was overpriced for the conditions of the accommodations. It was by far the loudest house or hotel I have ever slept in. Consider adding the following to your rental, better knives, a can opener, a toaster and cleaning supplies.

Sounds like we are not the place for you. Can opener in kitchen drawer next to stove. Toaster in cabinet near stove. We stopped putting cleaning supplies in rentals years ago because they were getting stolen constantly. People will eventually steal everything you supply them with the thought of " well I paid for it". If you ask for something we will do our best to accommodate tho! Absolutely no idea what was loud, I went thru myself listening for anything loud and I asked the following guest and they had no idea and they left a 5 start review. The only thing they could come up with is if you are downstairs you can hear people walking upstairs. I agree they are basic steak knives, not chance in putting a $500 set of knives in a rental. Way too much customer distruction. We aren't a hotel at all so maybe this is the confusion. Sorry we aren't for you, we can only provide what is pictured and described. Walmart doesn't sell Lamborghini's, we aren't the Ritz.
