It's in the middle of nowhere, so is everything else in Cahuita. Bring a flashlight if you are walking to restaurants. The place is really pretty and interesting architecturally speaking. Bikes are a bit expensive compared to Puerto Vallarta.

Decent for the price and location

Pros: The front desk manager really made the difference of my stay. He was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Maybe some window screens so you could open the windows without inviting bugs in. Something that could keep the beds from feeling so damp.
Location: A few miles from town, nice and quiet. Right across from the beach. Loads of wildlife in the surrounding jungle.
I wish I could give a better rating, but the room was so dark, grungy, musty and damp that I just can't. I suppose it's hard to keep things really clean in a jungle but I just constantly felt dirty there.
Mattress and sheets were damp feeling, slight smell of mildew, bathroom floors were covered in straw mats that were secured to the floor which makes me wonder how well the floors could be cleaned.
However, the grounds are lovely, loads of beautiful plants, and the area around is amazing. I saw sloths, toucans and monkeys just walking down the road.

Me puse indignado.
