Could Have Been Better
Publié le 17 août 2023 sur HomeAwayHost only provides ONE key/fob required for access to the building/elevator/parking/everything so if you're 2 or more people you cannot come and go independently, major problem for us. Also bring your own toilet paper. Property is right next door to the bottle exchange so be prepared for night of the living meth heads 24/7.

Work Trip

Nice stay but a few issues
Publié le 2 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe property is beautiful and very central. The suite had most of the things we needed for the weekend. This trip was supposed to be a relaxing getaway to recharge with another friend of mine who has little ones. Last minute, her kids became sick and I asked if we could move the dates, but was told unless someone else booked I wouldn’t be getting a refund (which is fine). I had run into a few issues while we stayed here. I didn’t receive any check-in information until I asked for it the day of our stay (6 hours before check-in). When we checked in and opened the front door, we immediately smelled natural gas (very strongly) After looking around for a few minutes, we realized the gas range stove top had one burner left on with no flame. My friend and I felt very dizzy and unwell due after a few minutes in the suite. I contacted the property manager immediately but he didn’t respond right away. We opened all the windows and the sliding patio door and left the suite for 3 full hours to let the suite air out. Looking back now, I should have called the fire department to come immediately. We called them when we got back 3 hours later as there was still a few waves of a natural gas smell. They said the levels were at zero but that it was good to check as it’s a major safety issue. The property manager called me the next day at 6:50 AM and we discussed what happened. He seemed a bit upset with me when I told him we had called the fire department and he said that he was going to be charged a bill (which is not the case in Alberta). I explained that I felt unsafe and the property manager said I tried to change the trip already before this and he thought I just wanted money back. This is not the case at all and I felt quite disappointed he implied this. The other let down was that the pool was closed with a cover on it the whole weekend. I understand this is out of control of the owner, but I was not notified of this prior to arrival and had taken a picture of it being closed and sent it to the manager. We also had no hand towels or face cloths. The property manager said he doesn’t provide face cloths as people use them too frequently and he didn’t want them sharing…
Overall it was a decent stay. I had asked the property manager for a partial refund (even something like $50 would have sufficed) as I felt the property had some issues. He said “there’s nothing wrong with my place” and did not issue a refund. This is not proper customer service.

Amazing stay!

The apartment was super clean and a really nice place to stay! The views from each corner of the apartment are amazing and Ray provides tons of things to help the stay go smoothly! I was for sure be booking in the future again.
