Path to cabin needs work on steps. Laundry room was A. Downstairs living room was wonderful!!! Yellow bedroom was wonderful to wake up in. Upstairs so roomy. Wonderful!!! Loved the hot tub & fire pit. We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves so much. Thank You! 5

Beautiful View But Had Some Problems
Publié le 4 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall, we enjoyed the stay but we had some problems. Highlight of the stay was definitely the view of the river from the porch! Really quiet and peaceful. The home is spacious and in a nice small town.
The reason we chose this property was for the hot tub. The hot tub did not function and the owner said he had some issues with it from prior guest. Things happen and a simple offer of a partial refund or even a discounted next stay would have gone a long way.
The beds were not comfortable. If you are going to run a VRBO invest in beds. The decor was ok but obviously things were pulled together on a budget and it was a bit of a mishmash of decor.
The pictures showed a gas grill and there was only a small charcoal grill.
It was also a bit alarming when we drove in on a rainy night and there was a car in the driveway. The driveway is shared with a neighbor so we were a little hesitant going into the home but figured it out.
I think this place suits a big family but if I had to do it over again I would have stayed somewhere a little more upscale.. you get what you pay for sometimes.
The owner was communicative but overall I think he could have been a little more in tune with our experience.

The prior guest just had the reset the breaker. As it turned out there was a lightning strike just prior to your arrival. You indicated the water in the Hot Tub was still warm. I had an electrician come out that night to isolate the problem to the tub and a repairman out the next day to determine the motor was out. The strike also took out the modem and 2 TV's. After you let me know the internet was out I had a new one there the next day. We talked well together and I appreciate your help in letting me know the damage that was done.
