Casa Sagitario is a beautifully finished substantial property, a very well appointed house sitting privately towards the end of a cul de sac directly overlooking the picturesque Gavarres hills. Electronically operated gates enclose the house at the front. All bedrooms have air conditioning (free of charge) this is preset to 24 degrees & all with en suite bathrooms. Private garden & pool design means that impressive rural views can be seen from the secluded garden and pool area. The terrace an ideal spot in which to relax after dinner or enjoy a drink whilst watching the children playing in the private pool. Attractive decorative touches and smart furnishings have been added with the result being a bright and welcoming property with a well -equipped kitchen, perfect for making self catering a pleasure. It's immaculate landscaped garden with lawn, mature trees and shrubs. Due to the location of the villa a car is needed. The village of Calonge close to the beautiful Les Gavarres nature reserve has several good restaurants, (5 minute drive) whilst within a 15 minute drive you will find the old town of Palafrugell and the pretty cove beaches of Llafranc and calella.

Family holiday
The property was very spacious, well equipped and clean. All bedrooms had air conditioning which was lovely. Spacious living area with tv etc. Outside area was great with plenty of seating in sun or shade. The pool was used constantly and enjoyed by all. Great gas barbeque and outside eating area. Karen was extremely responsive and helped us greatly with a car issue we had on arrival. Thank you again Karen. Great villa, enjoyed by all.

It had everything
One of the best villas we have stayed in. Suitable and enough space for all ages. The outside space was great for our 2 year old grandson, safe and secure and lots of shaded areas to keep out of the sun. Communication from Karen was great.

Lovely setting for a family holiday
We had a great stay at the property and the property manager was very helpful and prompt. The pool area is amazing and the views from the villa were lovely. The air conditioning was better in some rooms than others but I think we noticed this more due to a very hot week but overall this was a lovely place to spend a week with the family.

We had a great time during our vacation at Casa Sagitario! Communication with Karen and Janice (the house manager) was good. My family enjoyed the pool and the different outdoor seating spaces to enjoy a meal or a drink. kids love to play soccer or just run around the grass area.

Best Ever
We have stayed at many holiday homes over the years and this is by far the best. It has everything you need and the mosi screens are great. I am mosi food but only got 2 this year and one was in Girona. The kids love the pool and table tennis and having lots of Barbecues. Karen is close at hand if you need anything. We be back next year.

Comfortable family stay with 7 adults
The property is well maintained and very well equipped with lots of kitchen supplies. The pool is pretty much the centrepiece and we spent lost of time in the comfortable poolside beds. All rooms are airconditioned and once you figure out the setup, the rooms are cool and comfortable to sleep in. The road leading to the area that the house sits in does need some fixing. Upon arrival the potholes were bad, and luckily they were temporarily field up during our stay. If our holiday plans bring us back to this area, this villa will certainly be on our list.

Amazing Stay
Does everything it says on the tin and more. Every amenity required in the house, big TV with Netflix and Amazon built in (live saver in evening with 4 kids) Washing machine dishwasher, BBQ. Plenty of sun beds, loads of tables to eat/drink. Excellent clean swimming pool. Area felt very safe. Air con in all rooms. I’m writing this the day we left and writing about it all is making me miss it now. I can’t think what more we could want from a villa, ticked all the boxes you could want. Finally I have to say how amazing Karen the manager was, met us on our first day to go over any thing we may require. She also arranged for the taxi for our return to the airport (4am in the morning) which arrived early and ensured we didn’t have stress of trying to organise ourselves and end up booking for 4pm :-))). She made contact during stay via message if anything we needed, felt supported if we had any concerns. Only downside was you can’t find Blackcurrant cordial anywhere 😂😂😂

Beautiful villa but approach roads need attention!
We travelled as three couples and chose this particular villa because each bedroom has its own bathroom. Apart from the lack of air conditioning, which we understand is to be installed in the coming year, the villa itself cannot be faulted. It's every bit as good as the photos suggest and very well equipped. We were slightly disappointed that the local town and closest restaurants were not within easy walking distance and have to say that Calonge was much quieter than we anticipated. We ended up eating in every night which was no hardship given the facilities and the fabulous views from the terrace. The main problem we found was the approach roads that lead from the main road into the mas (estate). If you think we have problems with potholes in the U.K., you've seen nothing compared to these! We drove our own car to Spain and our friends hired a car from the airport (car essential) and we all had concerns about the state of the underside of our respective cars. We used the local beach at Can Cristus, less than 10 minutes away by car, and were pleasantly surprised to find free parking and a beach that wasn't too busy. It's certainly a fantastically scenic coastline. Lots of places to visit, from Girona (a very helpful Karen was on hand to advise us on parking) to Pals, Peratallada and La Bisbal (for pottery buying). Yes would definitely recommend this villa but drive carefully!

Truly much more the we expected. 10/10
Arriving at this villa left us with our mouths wide open, we really could believe it! What a find, so peaceful, & in August! We have visited this area for the last 9 years & finally found a villa that is to our standards, very comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms, all en suite, it was so nice for us all to have our own bathrooms!! Very well equipped kitchen, large living room, and the outside has plenty of shade , immaculate garden, which all lights up in the evening to create a real film star feeling. We had amazing weather, hot, just like we wanted, a big swimming pool, which was great for all the family, large shallow play area for ball games. We visited the nearby village of Calonge, loved the medieval castle, and also tried lots of the local restaurants. The nearby beaches were great, the coves between Calonge and Platja d'aro were our favourite for snorkelling. There's a great information book at the villa, that was extremely useful, and made things so much easier for us. Now that we've found the perfect villa, we will be back!

Fantastic property and a great stay - just needs some air-con!
The property in Calonge was terrific - clean, well-equipped and in a good (and scenic) location. The pool is a slightly strange shape but large enough for a big group. Calonge itself is a sleepy town but there are a small number of decent shops, supermarkets and bars. It's also well placed for some lovely beaches - mostly busy but some quiet ones south of L'Estartit. Girona is definitely worth a visit as are the Greek / Roman remains at Ampurias. The only downside of the property is that it could do with some air conditioning. Night-time temperatures in August are just too high to be handled by the fans provided. Nevertheless, a really nice property which is well maintained and managed.

A lovely family house
We enjoyed our stay very much and the kids loved the pool. The kitchen was so well equipped and the villa was spotless on our arrival. There were so much to see and do in the area too. We had a couple of niggles though - why not some re-cycling bins or even one bin with a lid? Guess it must be Homeaway policy, but really one dishwasher tablet and binbag! No toilet rolls? We bought all the aforementioned and because we were driving were able to take all that remained back with us. I am sure those who are flying must leave their excess - so what happens to it? It was a bit tricky too with 3 sets of adults - one of the twin rooms had pretty rickety beds. Karen sorted out the oven but then, through no fault of hers, the pool lights went out of sync and we had a couple of days with cold water only in the downstair bathrooms. She is a real treasure. Approachable and really kind, especially about ensuring the baby had a good cot. But it would be helpful to have some basic instructions about the house on paper, including the wifi code, in case she is not available. We stress that these niggles failed to spoil a lovely holiday but they could be so easily remedied for the future.

Vacances qui ont passées trop vite
Location conforme à la description propre et jolie avec une piscine bien appréciable, nous avons passé d’agréables vacances, le seul petit hic, c’est la route les derniers 500m qui sont en travaux et vous risquez d’y laisser un pneu et cela dure depuis bien longtemps (voir photo Google Maps) et cela n’est mentionné nul part !

Wir waren mit zwei Familien, 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder im schönen gemütlichen Haus mit sehr großen Grundstück und einem Pool. Fast jedes Schlafzimmer hat eigenes Badezimmer was sehr praktisch ist. An Ausstattung hat uns nichts gefehlt. Ein Gasgrill im Freien hat uns jeden zweiten Tag leckere Meeresspezialitäten serviert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist außerhalb von Lärm, die Zufahrt gewönnungbedürftig und führt Teils über Schotterstraße. Besten Dank an die Gastgeber!
