Spacious Home Near Amenities in Calumet; Sleeps 10

Our house is bright, airy and spacious. The open concept living area is lovely for large groups to prepare food, eat, and visit. Four bedrooms give privacy for groups. Our large back deck area and yard provide plenty of outdoor space. Grill your dinner and dine outside or sit around a bonfire at dusk. We are a two minute drive to the world-class Swedetown Ski and mountain bike trails, 45 minutes from Mount Bohemia, and less than a mile from snowmobile and ORV trails. Two Lake Superior beaches are within ten minutes of our place. Our neighborhood is quiet and we have lots of privacy.

The space
Raw edge wood shelves in our kitchen, open shelves and a unique light fixture in the living room make our space feel very natural and cozy. The open living space makes it easy to hang out with your whole group. All of our bedrooms have good size closets to store your things.
The local grocery store, Dollar General, gas stations, coffee shops, and restaurants are three minutes away.
We get lots of snow up here in the winter, and we have lots of fun places to play in it nearby.
Guest access
Guests have access to all of our home except the utility room in the basement.
Guests have on-site laundry, a large deck off of the dining area, and a large private yard.

Great stay!
Our second time staying here. Great place. Immaculately clean. It has a good variety of things for adults and kids. Great location close to downtown Calumet and 20 minutes from Michigan Tech. Parking for cars or snowmobiles! Host is very responsive.

Thanksgiving Week
The house was very clean and had everything that we needed to celebrate Thanksgiving and family birthdays. We traveled to be with our son, who is a student at Michigan Tech. The house was just as described and had plenty of room for us. The beds were comfortable and the snow removal was great. The area received close to 12 inches while we were there. We will definitely be back.

Disc golf getaway
We came to both visit with Daughter from MTU and spend a couple of days disc golfing @ Lake Calumet, Lake Linden, and MTU course. We enjoyed our stay, as well as the food and service @ Miner's Cafe in Laurium, The Hut on 41 just North of Calumet, Cafe Rosetta in Calumet, the Ambassador in Houghton, and The Library in Houghton. We will be back again to disc golf and enjoy the areas hospitality!

Very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, but close to town. If we'd had more time, we could have played some backyard games. Everything we needed was there. We really enjoyed spending time on the roomy deck (we lucked out with perfect weather). Living room and eating area had lots of room to gather. Everyone said they'd stay there again.

Great place to stay. We were here to drop some kids off at Michigan Tech. It was a 20 min drive from Houghton. House was very clean and great outdoor deck and fireplace. Neighborhood was quiet. Host were easily accessible by text and quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful stay in Copper Country!
Karen and Dave's place is beautiful! It's on the edge of town with great privacy with a fenced in back yard and beautiful deck. We enjoyed a ton of time in the backyard playing giant connect 4, grilling and having a bonfire! The inside of the house is beautifully decorated and open. Our party of 10 did great in this house and it was so well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, towels, blankets, etc. These superhosts even had a welcome basket of snacks waiting for us when we got there, so so thoughtful! My only criticism would be the mattresses are getting warn and there was a dip in the middle, this happens often in rentals. We did fine though and were able to go on all sorts of adventures from this home, to Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor, Lake Linden, Houghton and it was so nice to come back to base camp and be so comfortable. Thank you Dave and Karen for sharing your beautiful home with us!

So many wonderful things. Quiet neighborhood and private. It was the perfect location to explore each area of the UP. It was well furnished and appreciated the extra disposable tooth brushes! The owners were accessible and helpful in asking questions of the area. Highly recommend.

Framily Annual UP trip
We needed a house that would comfortably sleep 10 ppl. That was close to our other framily that stayed in Lake Linden. Karen was amazing in given us some ideas of things to do. The house was gorgeous, he teenagers love that it was two levels so they had a little space, Huge deck which we hung out a lot in, huge yard.Absolutely plan to use host again for our annual UP Framily Trip!

Nice vacation house to explore the UP from
Enough kitchenware to cook multiple kinds of dinners and easily fed 8 without running out of bowls and plates. Foosball and connect four for friendly tournaments with friends that was a great time. Only thing I wish there was more of was time at the house to relax and enjoy the fire and backyard.

We went to Calumet for a girl's weekend. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed the downtown - some really great authentic antique stores and shops. The coffee shop was fabulous. The property location is fabulous - just a mile from downtown. Great deck to chill on. Price was fabulous - there were four of us and we each had our own room/tons of space to just spread out and relax at night. Amenities were great/we had what we needed to cook, etc. Our weekend was affordable, fun and authentic. Couldn't have asked for more!

Wonderful house!
Our family was in town for our youngest graduation from MTU. We had several adults and two young children. The house was clean, comfortable and very well stocked for a family. From the gas grill (with spare cylinder) and large deck to the toys and games to the full array of children’s dishes and flatware to the bonus espresso machine, it touched all the bases. Homeowner was very attentive to answering texts and questions. Home was very comfortable for our family gathering and has excellent proximity to MTU and the Keewanaw peninsula.
