Villa Fiorita is part of an old, recently refurbished, fully self contained apartment, set in a noble residential complex, with independent heating, free Wi-Fi internet connection, private parking and GARDEN. The prices indicated are all inclusive, in the hot season there is no additional charge, water, light and gas consumption are included in the price. In the cold season, the consumption of gas for heating is paid at the cost price. Please note that a deposit of EUR 150 is payable on arrival at the end of your stay after check-in. Final cleaning costs will be charged separately, in cash, upon arrival: Euro 50,00
The Villa is located in the historical center of the ancient village of Calvanico in the heart of the Southern Apennines a few kilometers from Salerno. It is a strategic place where you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city but from where you can easily reach the most important seaside and archaeological tourist sites of the Campania Region, southern Italy: it takes only 20 minutes to reach the BEACHES and PORTS of Salerno, then continue for AMALFI, POSITANO, CAPRI, ISCHIA and SORRENTO; 45 minutes to get to NAPOLI; 35 minutes for POMPEI, ERCOLANO; 50 minutes to reach VESUVIO; 60 minutes to go to PAESTUM, then go on to Cilento. So you can easily organize for even one day's excursions, returning home in the evening to relax in the garden. By staying at Villa Fiorita you can visit in a few days all the most important tourist sites in the region.
This portion of the villa consists of:
A) A living room with fireplace, furnished with a comfortable sofa transformable into a large double bed (cm 160 x 200), there is a large chest of drawers with flat screen television, a mirrored wardrobe, a folding single bed (cm 90 x 190) and a table, plus chairs and upholstered armchair.
B) bathroom with WC, shower, washbasin, bidet and washing machine.
C) A small bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190 cm), furnished with bedside tables and TV
D) Vintage kitchen with wood burning stove and antique cobblestone oven, MA also equipped with comfy modern American kitchen with oven, four burners, suction hood, table and equipped for 6 people.
From the automatic gate, you access the entrance boulevard that leads to the parking lot for more cars, and through a wrought-iron door with colored glass you access the villa's garden, furnished with a gazebo flowered in the spring of wisteria and roaring roses, and preciously enriched by an ancient stone well closed for safety.
The flowered and flowered garden is full of colors in spring with roses of various colors of rosettes, wisteria and lilac; in summer the red, purple, white hydrangeas bloom, and in autumn there are the colorful colors of the variegated leaves of red and green maples.
So you walk through the tree-lined garden with lawn and you reach the master staircase (with steps in an ancient local stone) leading to the large landing from which you access this portion of the villa
The adjacent garden is enriched with fruit trees: hazelnuts, apricot, pear, and the hanging fruit offered by the villa owner, are at guests' disposal. In addition, the garden is improvised by an ancient fountain, a cool gazebo with antique shaft (closed to safety). There is the possibility of using the barbecue for pleasant barbecues and bicycles (1 adult bicycle and 1 for children at the guest's disposal).
Calvanico is a hilly town, about 500 meters above sea level at the foot of the Picentini Mountains and more precisely at the base of the side of the Pizzo San Michele, rich in secular chestnut woods and paths, offering many itineraries for nature walks , in the immediate vicinity of Calquanero 2 km, the walk in the "Frassineto" nature park with secular trees of various kinds, with trails and paths traced and educational easy to go even for children, the park is also equipped with an area barbecue set up with a fixed barbecue over a play area for children. Also worth remembering are the trails that lead to the peaks of the Picentini Mountains, the ancient mills, and the one that leads to the chapel of Our Lady of Loreto. Among the cultural events, the exhibition of craftsmanship and the extemporaneous painting competition organized by Proloco stand out; there are numerous recreational appointments such as religious festivals and fairs whose diamond tips are represented by the Feast of Our Lady of Loreto on August 5 and the Chestnut Festival in Autumn. The patron saint is San Michele Arcangelo, which is celebrated May 8th with the impressive night walk along the slopes of Monte San Michele to reach the summit where there is a dedicated sanctuary.
