Little gestures would go a long way.
Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HotelsThe inn is an old established property. We have been there prior, and love spending hours on the rocky beach. We bring our own food and use the inn's refrigerator, toaster and microwave.
Dishes, knives, forks, bottled water and regular coffee [in the AM] are available. I brought my decaf, and the staff set me up with a separate coffee maker.
Room was clean, with a very comfortable bed. The staff was both pleasant and helpful.
We never used the hot tub on either trip, and I think it would be nice to have table and chairs for the room decks instead. Trimming the ivy so guests could see the beach from their rooms would be incredible.
Updating with a small refrigerator and fan even though it cools down at night, would be a nice gesture. An ice machine somewhere on site would go a long, long way.
The upstairs balcony is beautiful with great seating and view. A perfect place for a hot tub and propane firepit in the evenings if either were available.
I still love coming here and I hate to see it disappear because of bad reviews.
It is a peaceful, quiet getaway, just be prepared to be self-reliant which I've seen with other hotels in the area.
Getting to the beach below the property can be a tricky maneuver. I'm in my late 70's however and with a helpful hand made it down just fine.
Visit the Iverson Spit Waterfront Preserve for a great day at a sandy beach.
Wakeup/light up the inn, make it attractive to old/new guests so we can keep coming back for years to come.

I’m sure this is a nicer place when their bistro is up and running. However, there is no air conditioning and no microwave in the rooms. Don’t go there when it is 80° or more in the area. The temperature in your room will be unbearable.
We were booked and paid for 2 nights, but didn’t want to stay for night 2, and we just left.

We had a great time staying here! It could use some updating and there was no ac which made for some warmer nights, but it had everything we needed. There is not staff there all the time so it felt more like an Airbnb.
The bistro isn’t open, but we found a breakfast place at the Cama Beach State Park that was delicious and just 5 minutes down the road.
The views were beautiful and there was beach access so we could take our paddle boards right down to the water.
Would stay here again for sure!

I had a wonderful, quiet stay at this undiscovered little inn. I, quite literally, never saw another person, including staff. Someone must have been there though as there was coffee made each morning. My room info came via text, and worked flawlessly. My only critique would be that the toilet bolts in room 3 need to be tightened as the « throne » was a little wobbly.

No hot water, door lock broken, extremely hot upstairs but no AC. Pictures and any good reviews from like 20 years ago.

Bad choice
Publié le 19 juin 2024 sur HotelsDon’t believe Hotels.com there is and never has been a Bistro no breakfast, the worst coffee I’ve ever had, and it will be cold. This was a disgusting experience. We are in different properties 270 days a year. This for the price was by far the worst.

There is no coffee in the room. No food service at all. The property is “tired”, needs some updating. Never once saw a staff member.
