Great family lake getaway and/or hunting retreat

A charming family/hunting retreat tucked onto an 8 acre wooded property in the Salt Fork State Park region near Cambridge, OH. This is a great location, just 1.5 miles from Salt Fork’s dam and one of their many boat launches. Salt Fork’s amenities include; golf course, 3,000 acre lake, beach, marinas, hiking trails and more. Other area attractions include horseback riding, shopping, and restaurants. The property also includes a firepit to relax around at the end of your day.
Wake up to the excitement that your first look out the window might include a herd of deer or flock of turkey. At the very least the sound of dozens of different bird species tweeting their “good morning” to you will help you relax as you start another day in the beautiful Salt Fork State Park region

Great experience
This was a great stay. It was so quiet and secluded. The house was very cute, maybe a little outdated, but the pictures are true as shown. It was clean, it was comfortable! We absolutely loved the fire pit in the back, and there is plenty of wood!. Everything you could possibly need was there. Would definitely stay here again. My mom was so excited to wake up and see deer in the backyard!

The place was nice and very quiet for a relaxing weekend away with friends. Fire pit was great with wood available/ which was a bonus. House had everything we needed for a long weekend away and owner was very responsive to any questions. Would stay here again.

Our Vacation
We were really impressed with on big the cabin was and how nice the yard was. We fell in love with the place, it was so quiet and serene. We got to see quite a bit of deer and squirrels. It was nice to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Loved how close it was to a lot of places. We went to Salt Fork Park and enjoyed the beach. Overall I think in the future we would definitely rent this place again. Definitely would recommend it to our other family and friends.

From the moment we booked to the day we arrived. Everything was great! You pull in to a long driveway to a beautiful backyard on 4 acres of land with a fire pit. Property has 3 porches with a ramp for wheel chair access. You walk in to a very clean spacious beautiful home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen with dishes, and seasonings to cook with. Living room with flat screen tv, and dining room. Property has an AC, refrigerator, microwave, blenders, coffee pot and more. This is the best vacation rental we have ever rented! Our stay was for 5 day! We definitely plan on coming back really soon! The property owner is absolutely great! If you need anything dont hesitate to talk to him! Thank you for such a beautiful rental! We will be back!

Nice place close enough to Salt Fork lodge. We stayed here instead of the lodge to save money when attending a Bible conference that is held at the lodge every memorial day weekend. It's 15-20 minutes from anything you need and in a nice spot where u feel you have privacy. Will look to use again in the future.

Another perfect stay
This is our 2nd time at Harry's rental. I have family within 15 minutes of the rental, and it is also very easy to get to "Salty" and the golf course. Harry is one of the most responsive and kindest hosts that I have encountered. The place is always clean and welcoming with everything that you would need for your stay. It fits my family of 4 and 2 dogs very comfortably with extra space to spare! The trails out back for a dog walk is one of my favorite amenities. I could not bring my old (and grumpy!) dog to my mother's house on the day we had to check out, so Harry graciously let us have a late check out. You cannot go wrong with the hospitality of this rental! I would say the only thing that this place is lacking is a hot tub, but that's just me. 5 stars all the way around. Thanks again Harry!

This place is AMAZING
The house is great, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and plenty of room! I wish you good luck finding a better furnished kitchen in your own house, let alone a rental! My friends and I have done 8 years of fishing trips (at least 2 a year) and this place was easily the nicest we've stayed in, for about the same price as a hotel room (no character), or a Muskingum Watershed cabin (no room). Communication with the owner was fantastic, both before and after checking in..... I cannot recommend this property enough!

Very clean well maintained and semi private lot. I brought my folks and their dogs for their 50th anniversary and it was the perfect place. Did some fishing at Salt Fork and made the 40min drive to visit the Wilds. We all loved it and would definitely return.

We went to a outdoor show nearby and decided the hotel the year before was a bust and found this amazing place! Great country setting! comfy cozy home with lots of privacy! Amazing price and was great to hear from the owners before hand! Couldn’t be happier and will do it again next year!

Here for a wedding
We LOVED this property. It was very clean, plenty of room for everyone. Extra towels, salt, pepper and spices that we forgot. The setting itself was gorgeous and so quiet and peaceful. 3 porches (one covered) for sitting with my coffee early in the mornings. Very nice firepit and even a gas grill. We were attending our daughter's wedding at Elderberry Farms which is just 30 minutes away. Nice to be able to take my dogs and not worry so much.

House was great for three couples coming down to boat at Salt Fork Lake and Seneca Lake. Very clean and plenty of room for truck and trailer. We also enjoyed a night relaxing by the fire pit. Host was great and responded quickly to all questions. We would definitely love to come back!

Like a pleasant stay with family!
We were pleased from the moment we pulled in to Turkey Fork! From the well-labeled address along the street, to the beautiful yard and landscaping, and the clean comfortable interior, we had everything we needed for a great family trip! Relaxing stay in the country
This house is comfortable, spacious, quiet, clean and well supplied for making meals. We saw many birds and a deer in the backyard. It’s a bit far from stores so I was glad we packed coolers and plenty of snacks. Harry was quick to respond and very accommodating when we had a question. We would stay again if we are in the area.
